I'm living in the past with owners who give a **** about the club I've supported Since I was a child. . Well that's fine and dandy then.
So then tell me who are all these caring owners in the PL or even the Championship but more importantly who were the caring owners waiting to take over the club we've all supported from childhood
I think (could be wrong) Mr WW is in his late twenties / early 30’s. That being the case, it kind of limits who these wonderful owners were because it has to be Ridsdale on… Unless I’ve missed something, I can’t think who that would be?? The Farke thing can only be attention seeking, what more could he have done in half a season with the chaos he inherited? Funny too that it is backed up by Darlows cost being directly linked to Rodrigo’s wages, Rodrigo couldn’t wait to exit backstage and line his own pockets and, as I’ve said before, I don’t think he was that special anyway. I blame football manager and clickbait sites personally Really odd too that, if we win Friday, we go top two for the first time this season (even if only for a few hours), weird to be criticising the club right now imo
The worst thing Radrizzani did was sit on his laurels after finishing ninth. We were riding the crest of a wave, and decided that would be a good time to consolidate!!! We've seen the likes of Brentford, Fulham and Villa do the opposite, and look at them now!!!
Ben Godfrey starting at right back tonight for Everton at Fulham. Guess that closes down another groundless rumour
You're almost right on my age only about 4 or 5 years out. I the last 11 or so years I've been on this board I've never had a nice thing to say about the ownership of the club as far back as Bates. I've never really had anything supportive to say about most of the managers we've had Since Grayson and I have never ever been a fan of Bielsa. No I'm not attention seeking regarding Farke. I didn't want him as manager as far back as the summer. I've never criticised the playing squad. I've criticised the owners there's a difference.
Everyone keeps saying that about the second season but we did spend £40M in the summer and had no outgoing sales. Yes of course it would have been nice to spend another £100M but it's not as if we didn't recruit at all.
I don't mind Farke, and bearing in mind the state of affairs when he arrived, we have done remarkably to be in the position we are in, BUT we are still 3 or so players short. We're halfway thru the season, and we can expect injuries, especially when you look at the injury records of Cooper, Byram, Firpo, Shackleton and Bamford! We're in a great position at the moment, and suddenly instead of boosting the squad, we're 3 players lighter....
I think Radz had all the best intentions but was out of his deph. I think if you go back in the post Ridsdale era the only owner who had a scooby on running an English football club was Bates and he was a cock womble
I think the main problem is that We're not consistent under him. His Premier League record is a concern for me. If we don't sign anyone up by 11pm on Thursday then we're ****ed basically.
Jokes aside Bates had experience with Chelsea. We were in free fall and he stabilised us. You look at the rest of the clowns between him and now and it's been a utter joke. The skint Arabs who used us a vanity project and ran round Leeds screaming do you know who we are. The crazy Italian who thought he was playing football manager whilst bringing 3 managers a season Then poor Radz who was sadly out of his deph
Again rads was out of his deph from day one so was Kinnear and Orta. The badge fiasco, the mianmar trip, Heckingbottom. Gracia, the lack of signings Somebody should have said wait up guys are we doing the right thing here from a business and footballing points of view.
Ethan Ampadu - how long can he keep going? League - 2610mins League Cup - 211mins Wales - 360mins We've got Gruev and Kamara (can't count Gray as he has to cover RB as I personally don't count Byram or Shackleton) but if either of them pick up a bad injury, we have next to no options.
You may very well be right about Radrizani but to his credit he brought in people who did know about football. Firstly that was Angus Kinnear & Victor Orta before Marcelo Bielsa was brought in as a very experienced coach. Not stopping there he realised he needed guidance and addtional finance in the boardroom so very wisely managed to persuade the San Francisco 49ers to take a minority stake which eventually lead to a full takeover. Now you might not be appreciative of his strategy but for someone with virtually no football knowledge it would seem he acted wisely and with the best intentions for both himself and the club.
All fair points and rational, I guess one man’s meat is another man’s murder. Personally, I can’t see the pleasure in being on a forum for 11 years and never had anything good to say about the owners or having anything supportive to say about our managers. From your answer, I’m 20+ years older than you and, if you didn’t enjoy the first three years of Rads and Bielsa I’m not sure what you are actually looking for? Just a side point, you very definitely have criticised the playing squad, you have written off any player that has reached 30 and been one of the biggest advocates of sweeping change and multiple signings. Your choice, just saying
The Summer was an absolute horror show for Leeds, and to be in the position we're in, is incredible. BUT, the club have had months to prepare for this window, and we're three players lighter than we were 4 weeks ago with a squad with 5 or 6 injury prone players
