I'd expect because of your age, you wouldn't be in any first round call ups anyway, and with Sucky I know he's spoke of some medical condition to do with his stomach before ie being sick etc....so can't see the army wanting him either. Any first shout would be for volunteers I would have thought, then 18-41 age group.
We're speaking hypothetically here, but for me it wouldn't come down to age anyway. If there was an existential threat to my family or wider community, I'd fight. If it's for some ****ehouse politician who's ramped up the war talk because he's not willing to seek peaceful compromises, then **** him, he can go and fight his own war.
I'm glad I've finally hit an age, even if WWiII happens, they're not going to want me to fight Now, I just hope my kids can avoid fighting in wars instead.
They ain't drafting ****ing civvies for anything. Russia has done exactly that and they've been ****ing slaughtered Civvies have absolutely no place in a modern war. Last time there was a draft soldiers wore olive coloured mechanics gear, tin hats and used hunting rifles.

They'd have to have serious discussions about returning national service before any sort of civilian drive into the armed forces. They'd still be absolutely cocking useless in any form of actual armed conflict, but they'd be atleast be aware of some basic military structure, how to dress, how to drive vehicles and the like. Helping with any logistical issues or repairing cars, roads, bridges. That is the max you'd get out of normal folk. You need genuine hard folk properly trained on a front line. Not Sucky, Pinkz, Saf and me. A ****ing surfer licking rocks, stoner who can't run, Saf shagging his rifle and me sucking my thumb
I know you don't really wish for it, but God no. Keep the horrors of modern war as far away as possible. Sorry it's happening to you, Ukraine, I don't wish it upon you, but rather you face it that anyone I personally know face it.
I think the first ppl we would need to call up is ex-military. Those that have left the armed forces. They have the training and know what the score is. Then it's the rest of us. Then when things get really bad, Sucky.
I reckon all of my time spent sleeping out on the moors, finding my own water, making fires, whittling spoons from wood etc would make me an ideal candidate for the harsh conditions on the front line. Apart from being a Hippy and not wanting to shoot anybody of course.
Tbf we don't hear about it bcos it's not nice to say anything negative about Ukraine but hundreds of thousands of men have fled rather than be conscripted. I think when you're defending your homeland war is harder, much more "final" than going over to some foreign land at the behest of some warmongering **** in charge over here.

Conversation today reminds me of story heard about Turkey's military. They have conscription, but you can get out of it if you're Gay. However to prove you're gay and not faking it, they ask for things like photos of you having sex with another man.
