Ba is both footed. The diagonal ball to Clarke leading up to Ba's goal was off his left peg

My apologies if that has already been mentioned but is the new lad Hjelde a bit of a unit? Just interested what height, weight etc we are adding to the back line.

Over 6' and quick for someone his height, Leeds fans say he's very athletic so plenty of raw material to work with ...

... sounds a bit like Ballard, when he arrived, and I knew even less about him tbh <laugh>

Remember that. Bridges at near post let the ball go past him.

If we're sticking with 4-3-3, I honestly don't know where Amad even fits, unless we went with a false 9 and he played in that role.

I can't see us bringing him in to replace one of either Ba, or Roberts.

So that leaves us with going back to 4-2-3-1, and playing Neil and Ekwah as the 2, and then dropping Jobe, which I don't think they'd do.

Thanks a lot for that mate <doh>

I was at that game, sober, and couldn't remember any details ...

... I've been trying to convince mesel that my memory isn't fading but you've just confirmed my fears.

Good news for those who don't like me, can't be long until I wake up and forget to log on <laugh>

Understand the point. But I do think its to be the right of a 4-3-3. There's always the flexibility within games to move to 4-2-3-1

He’s 27 and started playing at CB for us last season. Played a handful of games at RB before that in L1.

Amad will play in the 10 with Clarke and Ba wide and proper 9 on the pitch if Beale has any common sense.

That then forces Neil and Ekwah to sit deeper though, which Ekwah in particular is ****e at.

They get forward a fair bit though because Jobe lacks that creativity you need in an 10 and that’s why people buzz off Pritchard coming on and doing the basics, creating space in pockets and getting the ball out quickly. I think with Amad on the pitch Ekwah might be less inclined to drift upfield. Definitely something to think about and me personally I’d rather have Amad and a proper DM then drop Jobe and Ekwah totally. I know it’s very harsh on Ekwah but we’re currently forcing midfielders into a team where their preferred role all looks too similar and the DM/10 specialists are none existent.

I enjoy signing these young lads whose potential is massive, we can all agree it’s exciting and it’ll be better when we move some on for big money and reinvest it for possibly even better talent but forcing the same players into the team rather than just addressing the obvious issues we have seems like we’re purposely shooting ourselves in the foot through a reluctance to change.
