been thinking about this a bit and if we did get an experienced striker in we’d have 5 strikers fighting for one spot and it would stop our own strikers getting any game time at all, I mean they hardly get any right now anyway never mind if we had a Moore for example.
No matter how old/experienced players are, or where they play ... ... there's always someone who'll say 'we shudda signed him ffs
Yeah its always a balancing act, i think its ok for us tho as hemir n mayenda need time to just settled into the county so fine them playing u21 foorball this season imo. Rusyn is slightly different but hopefully he will still get plenty minutes between now n the end of the season Burstow isnt ours so while i hope he does well for us hes the least priority of the ones weve got
£8m + £7m in performance based add ons. 25% go to Man City. So they only get £6m now. Honestly I think they should have held out for more, as silly as that sounds.

Good turnaround for them still tbf £5m profit in the space of 6 months for a bit part player and potentially more bonuses to come.
Why does every player we sign have to be for right now, can we not sign players for now and the future in the same transfer window. I've said it before if we sell Clarke, Neil etc in the next 6, 12, 18 months does it not make sense we have their replacements on board before they go and then it's stops the situation arising where we are short in 1 or 2 positions. Why does it seem people only want to sign the players we need right now in each transfer window. We are building something different here, the signings we made in the summer , now and probably this summer coming will probably what we need in 12 to 18 months that's how this model will work. However if your starting from scratch its going to take 24 to 36 months for the ground work to take effect where we have ready made replacements in place for each position. Yes they will also need to sign players that will fit in right now to keep the team progressing till everything is in place. Gone are the days when the club will spend silly money on wages and fees just to compete in the current season, that's what ended up with us in league one so I'm happy those days are over. I'm sure every fan wants us to sign a CDM and CF that will come in and hit the ground running but that is not the only business the club will be looking at in a transfer window
It’s only one game and we could of course get overrun next game but Burstow Saturday and Rusyn last night leave me less at exasperation stage up front than previously. It feels like both and Mayenda, maybe Hemir will improve but regular goals are scarce other than the one person who could get injured so I’m less worried than this time last week but it’s still a massive gamble. I wasn’t particularly encouraged about defensive midfield however, I still think that was too open. I think the adjustments made by the coaching team improved us but less so in the hole behind midfield.
That's why I think Diallo was our problem last year, he scored some unbelievable goals from nothing that won us games. Had we not had him I think we may have finished 10-12th which would have been a good season for our first season back, then this season would have been more of a progression than it actually looks
Shame we didn’t see more of the lad but I think he’ll benefit from this loan and hopefully come back and fight for a 1st team start
lol where’ve u been since your big summer reveal about o9 leaving (definitely btw), think. Need to give it a rest son your lot are playing tonight so maybe concentrate on them?
He’s got form m8, summer all about o9 leaving, I put it down to schools being off then, he must just be on a sickie today
