This is the point people don't seem to grasp, if a player comes available that the club are interested in they will bring him in. No one has said he has to play Saturday, no one at the club has said he's a replacement for Evans. I think every fan agrees we need a CDM and CF, however if we sign a youngsters for the future the club are cheapskates and signing players we don't need. When we sell the likes of Neil, Clarke etc we need replacements Surely it's better that those replacements have already been at the club for 2 years. To have that we have to sign them early, however when we do people complain it's not what we need right now. I just can't get my head round the fact some people can't understand this
aye i know seen a few Man Utd fans on twitter they should start Pellistri insteat of Anthony think Amad is only other choice now United have a premier league game to on Thursday night Deadline day too so chances very slim on him coming here
What's a bit weird is how people ignore what's actually said, 'interpret' it in a way that suits their agenda then keep repeating it hoping they'll convince other people ... ... even when other people remind them they're building an argument on guesswork they just trudge on with the same baseless rhetoric.
We've become a mini-Spurs in some ways. We bring people in quietly, never mention our 'war chest' and get good money for those we want to replace ... ... not perfect yet but we don't have half a squad of worthless players like we used to.
Someone having done something so many times that they are familiar, comfortable and competent with the task at hand.
Why would you mention him otherwise? I can see it as part of the rationale if Evans is expected back soon, can you get by without him or do you need a short term fix. That's fine. If you're pointing at someone you know isn't coming back and using it as an excuse for a failure to find a player after knowing the one you've got isn't reliable, then it isn't. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, which doesn't suit your narrative....
We’ve brought a lot of really talented lads in already and Mundle looks like another. The levels in training must be sky high. You can imagine Rusyn coming in and going wtf? It also could be why Bennette hasn’t been able to force his way into the team.
Interesting one and another example of a signing not being linked at all and the first you hear about it is when it appears a day away from completion, I like that about our recruitment. Based on his lack of minutes in Belgium, I'd assume he's going to play mainly for the development squad for the rest of the season with potential minutes in the first team. I think the plan for Bennette was that he'd take a year to settle in and then begin to make an impact this season. For whatever reason this hasnt been the case and the club think its better for him to get first team minutes rather than u21 level. I think Mundle moves into Bennettes role for the rest of the season and both will have pre season to show they are ready for the call up if we dont get promoted/Clarke is sold.
