Haven’t gone back through thread to see if posted already but Romano and others say Hjelde signed and poss unveiled tonight
Me too, just wondering if he works in the club shop, not only did they ask him to put the name on the shirt, they also explained to him the whole situation with the man utd manager
How do you work that one out? They’re going for automatic promotion and looking to improve an already good squad. Fair play I say. We know what we’re getting with the clubs coming down with parachute payments.
I work it out by the fact they simply don’t need him, pretty simple really. They are 22 games unbeaten, a club record, and the top scorers in the league in that time by a margin. As I said, top signing for them, but my point was showing how the parachute payments mean clubs can just overload their squads. They categorically are flying without another player in a position they have cover.
Will he not automatically go into their starting XI? I’d say he would. Parachute payments doesn’t automatically mean success. Look at the mess we were in - straight down again. The Southampton manager has done a cracking job there.
He has, tough start but now got them romping it. Doubt they gonna launch one of their own players for him though given the form, but like I say that wasn’t my point. My point was about the difference in what the ex PL clubs can do. Leicester are about to sign Stefano Sensi, a current Italy international from Inter. Its bonkers what we trying to fight against.
Perhaps if we were limited to one signing then I might agree. However, any suggestion that he wouldn't improve our team is bollocks.
Fishpaste saying we’ve agreed to sell Pritchard to Birmingham for around £100k. guess it was that or £0. Think we’ve done well to get £100k for him in this situation 2.5 year deal for him and significant pay rise. I’m going to stick my neck out and say Birmingham regret this in 1.5 years. Just a gut feel based on how it’s ended everywhere else for him
