Wednesday 8.15 The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed I've recently abandoned the devastating wit of the poll in favour of an actual realistic choice. I thought it was about time I grew up.
The cup are over so now its deadly serious. From today I expect gomez to continue at Lb a little bit longer Alisson Trent konate vvd gomez Szobozlai macallister Jones Diaz jota nunez Robbo for trent Gakpo for jota Bench kelleher, Robertson, quansah, Bradley, gravenberch, Elliott, gakpo, Clark, gordon. Not sure anyone else will be back just yet
I think Gomez has played himself into contention at LB anyway. Strange that's he's been very good at LB but he's generally poor (limited) at RB. But ironically, plays on the right when at CB.
yeah it's must win cos city would hammer this lot. they've crawled up to 9th and got through in the cups to at least a replay but they've not really played anyone since losing to utd in the league in December until thst 0-0 against villa. it's hard to judge if there's green shoots under pochettino or just them beating a lot of lower half teams. this is at home and we only have so many home games left with klopp so that makes it massive.
After this season? Unless moved to CM, Trent stand to lose out more than any other player when the new manager comes in. They're very unlikely to give him the same freedom he's had.
well I meant even v Chelsea. If joe plays like he did against norwich or the games before he's stood at CM exactly where you wanted to see if he could play. If both him and trent were playing then where's the width? next year will take care of itself imo.
very probably, given the position of match fitness but i'm sure robertson will be a sub to come on. We could even sub off trent and leave joe on for 90. who knows.
Did you notice Robbo's positioning against Norwich? He was standing around the inside left position a couple of times. I know he often ends up inside after a run, but he seemed to be positioned there with a couple of our players wider than him. Perhaps we're going for the total football approach?
I want Moises Caicedo to play and we win, so that he can taste the bitter pill of snubbing Liverpool.
I hope the ref is strong as caicedo is very likely to produce a bad tackle here and he shouldn't be let away with it.
