I think it's unwise to pin our hopes on Frey who, likely, isn't match fit.

We tend to do that with new signings.

Obviously I hope he helps to get us out of the mire but....

No room now for 'waste of space' burials as I bought the last 4' x 10' grave plot for C$700 and the new 96 Columbarium spots (akin to a Canada 'super' mailbox) in the same cemetery are C$2,700!

It wasn't so long ago that some people were getting excited about Tomer Hemed.

Wouldn't say he was out thought at all. There are many factors to take into account as to why games pan out the way they do. If Huddersfield had won then your point may be slightly more valid and as for thinking their gaffer is an old fashioned coach? What gives you that impression?? CIFUENTES has been a fresh of breath air compared to our last few managers. I still have every faith in him keeping us up.

We sneaked an undeserved point at home to fellow relegation candidates. We were outplayed and out-thought.

I breathed no fresh air today, we were dreadful.

I really hope you're proved right about Cifuentes, but I have severe doubts.

I admit to being a fan of Marti. He’s improving some squad players but some just aren’t there. It’s very slow progress with the players he has.
That said, we are much better when we mix things up (has been a beef of mine). Playing around the back as a de facto tactic, with our players, we always look like a mistake away from a cock up. I’m assuming Dixon-Bonner will come in for Field now, he does like to play forward and is able to make a good pass from the middle. His form can be a little up and down but he’s in a class of many for that. I’d prefer to see Smyth start over Willock, he puts teams under pressure and makes the other teams defence a bit more jittery - feels he would have a better impact starting right now and might offer a new striker a bit more service.
We so need a bounce-back win.

On a positive note my son Henry enjoyed the experience and wants to go again.

Stockholm Syndrome?! More seriously, good news. Today's kids are the future of the club.

Still probably better than any single performance under Ainsworth. Granted we were poor yet we still got a point. We lack the quality in the playing staff. We tried hoof ball under that charlatan of a manager and it was the worst football in my living memory. We are at least trying to play now which is refreshing in comparison.

I only saw bits of the second half so can't comment on much and agree with the majority.

But given our position and that we are living on a shoestring I'm not surprised with our performance. What I mean is that all teams in the bottom 10 or so teams are going to make each game a dogfight, play ugly, and fight for their lives, and so do we for the rest of the season, if we want to stay in this league.

I hope Frey can spark a revival and a few feed off that spark but it ain't going to be pretty for the next few months, it is what it is!

Nobody has mentioned him, but I thought Fox looked lively when he came on, he looks the type of player that can fill in for Field, it's the first time I have seen him.

BTW, I thought Drewe did well possibly our best player from what I saw.

I normally agree with your observations Bob and certainly think Marti ball is a vast improvement to the start of our season. But he called it wrong yesterday particularly after half time when Huddersfield exploited our weakness in midfield and we failed to respond. He's still learning the English game of course but if he continues to play Field and Willock when energy is required it's not going to end well.

I would have thought that Field is one of the first names on the team sheet to be honest. In my humble opinion, our central midfielders lack any sort of creativity. Field is a ball winner, a battler. Colback is an older, smaller version. Both are backwards/sideways passers. I agree about Willock though. The lad Drewe was left well exposed against their winger with little to No protection from Willock. It can be a catch 22 situation at times, trying to get the balance right. Obviously Willock is there for his attacking capabilities over his defensive duties. In hindsight, Smyth would have offered more in both aspects on the right.

Very harsh bearing in mind how hard they played.

Let's hope their players sulk, like Birminghams did

He had better score a hat-trick on Saturday or else he can bugger off back from whence he came
