Players are too expensive even for an average one and whether you like them or not Trippier, Burn and Pope were absolute bargains in today's market, 30 years ago you would have got a Shearer and a Roy Keane for one and a half Burns!
It can't be sustainable, this is the ****test Jan window ever I think from everybody's point of view. Smaller clubs down the pyramid will be effected by lack of movement at the top. If we move into this summer..... Villa's Grealish funds will drop off if I'm correct which will be them hitting the buffers. Read Man Utd are near the buffers Wolves have hit the buffers Chelsea must be getting close to hitting the buffers Everton have hit the buffers Forrest have hit the buffers Arsenal are close to the buffers Fulham don't spend big Bournemouth don't spend big Brighton don't spend big Palace don't spend big Brentford will rely on the sale of Toney to someone Burnley will be gone Scousers will hit party mode with new manager and money from last years transfers. City always have cash No idea what state Spurs are in. No ide what state West Ham are in. If I've read our accounts properly we could be in for party time.
it could also be a buyers market if there’s less cash around which may lead to some price deflation. some clubs selling will simply have to drop their prices if there are less suitors.
Paris St-Germain are confident of signing Newcastle United's 26-year-old Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer. (Mirror) PSG and Newcastle are interested in a summer move for 24-year-old AC Milan and Portugal forward Rafael Leao. (Telefoot - in French Not much happening.
Apparently and I might be wrong the next update to FFP is August 24. Which could mean the PL raising the 105 loss limit back in line with football inflation. As you have stated nion all the PL clubs are close too this limit. Which filters not only down but around Europe. Our income should have increased by about her 20-40m upwards next season which should mean we will be ok to buy a couple of players. Chelsea must have to see surely. Problem is there is no one there to buy.
Agreed. It could also pave the way for players going into the last year of their contracts aswell. The FFP is on the brink of changing the whole transfer window. It wouldn’t surprise me if the January transfer window was scrapped or changed so you can only make loan deals.
Just a lot of people putting 2 and 2 together because he was absent for the Fulham match. Then some saying he was having a medical. Can’t see it mind but you never know.
No I was being ignorant. Basically people have concluded that he is gone because he was absent the other day. The fact that he could just have been ill seems to be ignored. If he was sold and it was for the better of the club (which it would be under these owners) then I’m fine with it though. At some point as Eales said we will have to sell players eventually. We have been so used to players being sold or released for peanuts under the Ashley years. How we got the funding for the Shelvey and Woods deal from Forrest remains a mystery to me.
The Woods money wasn't on the accounts. The Shelvey deal was clearly no where near what we were told by reporters.
Some quotes saying the Shelvey deal was like 12m or something. And he was earning 80k a week at Forrest. Wood deal falls into this years does it?
Didn't like the place I went to was bored and not feeling particularly well. I'm off to Chicago soon anyway was only a short break. No requirement for any surgery once you've had glands removed they dont grow back and I don't take steroids anymore either.
If we get 100m for Bruno it would be a good piece of business. I think he's an awesome player, but he's not without his flaws. He makes plenty of mistakes and gets caught on the ball. The spanish league would be perfect for him. I don't think we will be able to get the best out of him tbh. 100m for him would allow us to bring in two players maybe of similar quality, as we really could do with a proper DM and a creative mid.
