After my recent run of successful matchday threads I know I'm taking a huge risk with this one. Nevertheless I'm going to stick my neck out and predict a bumper feast of silky smooth soccer delights from the mighty red devils. So the team news is Shaw and Lisandro will start at the back. Casemiro to also make his return. And Bayindir to finally make his debut in goal. Expect this will be a titanic battle which we'll win with a convincing 1-0.
Hard to know the truth about this nonsense concerning Rashford and his 'clubbing' antics and his reporting sick for training. Surely he can't be such an arrogant prick to imagine that he can dismiss the game against Newport and not bother training for it.............
Good old fashioned FA game, thrills and spills, cut and thrust from both sides but we won through. The keeper looked very good, confident handling and good distribution, plus Hojlund got himself on the sheet, as did Antony. Confidence booster all round. MOM for me was Mainoo, yet again, Martinez a close second.
Cup game, we won. Lot's of tears elsewhere. We've been worse! Lost away at (2nd division) Bournemouth under Fergie, it happens. Enjoyed the game tbf.
Danny Murphy and the rest of the ABUs were talking up some sort of upset the moment their first goal went in. Good news is both Maguire and Martinez are back. Shaw at LB and Casemiro back too. Just need to get Mount fit and we've got a full squad.
What is Mount's injury now? I thought it was muscle of some sort, but it's taking a **** long time to recover from. Every week it's another week. Is he a crock I wonder?
It appears to be a serious and recurring ' get up off your arse and prove your worth' muscle injury - hard to heal I understand. Improves intermittently just ahead of major international tournaments, similar to Pogba.
I love the way he celebrates. Like a spirited and possessed man.. It is refreshing! He is clearly hungry. He will become a cult hero when he starts scoring consistently from the newly found and more to come Antony's assists.
