Entire team: £49.5m. (Plus subs at £39m)

Funny how great minds think alike. On Monday night I immediately felt the need to brag to my mate about how little the Spurs team cost and work it all out on a bit of paper for his intense pleasure and amusement.

Then I saw many references on here later that night going on about how cheap our amazing midfield was.

Well the fact is that the striker, defence and goalie only add £12m to the total for the whole team! (If you include VDV as a midfielder).

Walker - £15m, Ledley - £1bn (no one will buy him anyway due to injury record), Kaboul - £15m, Ekotto - £12m
Parker - £8m (purely for age reasons, otherwise double that figure), Modric - £50m
Lennon - £15m, Rafa - £25m/£30m, Bale - £45m
Ade - N/A

Carlo - Free
Gallas - £2m
Bassong - £5m
Defoe - £12m-£15m
Sandro - £17m (at the moment, few years it will rocket no doubt)
Pienaar - Pack of peanuts.
Gio - £5m with sell on fee.

That's trying to base it on a rough market valuation (bar Ledley ), my personal valuations for most would be a lot, lot higher. I haven't and in fairness can't be ass*d to work out how much we'd make but it's certainly a sh*t load more than we spent. Keep up the brilliant work Mr. Levy and Mr. Redknapp!

Kaboul was closer to £9mill as we wrote off a load of the debt that Portsmouth owed us in the deals to bring Crouch, Defoe and Kaboul in.

 

Why would they owe us anything for Crouch. Surely we would pay them!

 

Oh right -yeah. But in that case Defoe wasn't £15m I guess.

 

I meant that we wrote off their debt, when we bought those players.

 

Anyone know if there was a loan fee for Adebayor? I'm sure there must have been.
