Unsure why we played Holgate at RB and Stephens CB today when Holgate has been proven to struggle at RB and Stephens is known to be comfortable there.
Mirror game to the Championship one last month. We go behind, look crap then have good final 30 mins and score late equaliser.
I know S Armstrong was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch when he came on, and Smallbone dictated the game totally… but I am giving my man of the match to Holgate. He was actually rather excellent going forward and defending during that half.

Much improved second half, again predictably. I've no issue with making changes for these games, but 9 is way, way too many, and seemingly the need to shoehorn the likes of Holgate, Stephens and Rothwell in is, I think, a bit of a weakness of RM. Do five changes or something, give the youngsters a run, but keep a core team for the purposes of cohesion.
Would of loved to have watched the 2nd half of that, but stream was more intent on showing pointless replays 5 times and shots of the crowd than the actual game!
