Personally just delighted we’ve still in the Cup and the replay is just another match to enjoy. Hopefully there’s a favourable draw to reward the eventual winners with a decent opportunity to progress to the quarterfinals.
Who'd you want bud 1) Watford/Southampton 2) Blackburn/Wrexham 3) Bournemouth 4) West Brom/Wolves 5) Bristol City/Nott'm Forest 6) Leicester 7) Sheff Wed/Coventry 8) Chelsea/Aston Villa 9) Maidstone 10) Liverpool/Norwich 11) Man City 12) Leeds/Plymouth 13) Luton 14) Newport/Man Utd 15) Brighton 16) Newcastle
Fulham are out unless I'm missing something. Home draw. Avoid Leicester and Man City. Southampton too if they make it.
Not having to play the replay reduces risk to the league games either side of it. The midweek replay and travel impacts preparation and recovery for important league matches. It would be better if we didn't have to squeeze the extra match in given our injury situation. Depends on what your priorities are.
Oddly enough hay tweeted near the end he’d never seen so many Leeds fans happy if Plymouth were to score
Total nonsense. If we’d conceded again late on there would have been a very negative reaction from the crowd and possibly few irate boos ad well.
On the other it could be good preparation for when we go there in the League 10 days later. If it was me I’d fly down on the day of the match to minimise any disruption and if we can’t beat Rotherham at home on the Saturday after then clearly we’re not good enough for autos anyway.
Not at all. It's not my fault you don't understand that a midweek trip to Plymouth might turn out to be detrimental to our push for promotion. That's on you. I'm pretty sure the squad and the coaching team, including Farke, would rather not have to play it.
True but either way we’ll never know how things would have been without the replay. Bottom line is we put a team out yesterday good enough to win the match but having failed to do so we now have do it all again. As a fan that means one more game to enjoy this season so any downside is not that big of a deal.
