Interesting. He plays to his strengths in my opinion, he isn't a powerhouse or even that great live by any means but has a unique quality which he exploits well and fits the band's sound.

Jeff Buckley was a very underrated guitar player, he even first started out just wanting to be a guitar player and not a singer until eventually he did both.

Johnny Marr should be on the list too. Can't find a decent live video of Marr so here he is playing This Charming Man on a BBC show.

I take it you've never actually properly listened? As they are hardly depressing.

If you think Radiohead are depressing, don't listen to Discouraged Ones by Katatonia.

Had OK Computer and Bends, both beyond boring though I have a bit of time for Electioneering but thats it. I think I'd rather listen to nu metal, that's how bad Radiohead are!

To say they are bad is a ridiculous statement, not to your taste would be a better response <ok>

The rest of their albums sound nothing like those two btw. Not a huge Radiohead fan but they were certainly a breath of fresh air for the popular market in the early 00's.

Possibly, each to their own and all that, they've just always been one of those bands I just don't get. I'm the same with The Smiths and the ****ty Peppers, I don't get what the fuss is all about.

I get what you mean with The Chillis, they just seem completely overrated by everyone around me. I do like The Smiths though. I think with Radiohead, if you don't get them then it's hard to like them, none of my mates like them either as they don't get them <ok>

Aye there's a few bands I like that have that effect on people too, if you don't get them then you HATE them!
