Pre match drinks yesterday

Quite a few canny bars down sunniside, Justice has a deal on a match days for £3.50 pints and Sam’s Bar is canny but gets heaving due to the size of it

 

If you find and try the Raspberry porter by the maxim brewery. It's lovely

 

Probably be some time till I go full down that route.

Took me about 15 year to move into Guinness.

 

That's why we stop in the Manor. Get served no issue.

 

Not been in there for years. Always get a strange vibe when I am in there and pints were never great.

 

Take the bairn to the Avenue and get him a pork dip from Hendersons, Pizza man!

 

Ha. I like the avenue. Got a couple of good mates who drink in there regularly. Massive bit out the back

 

Only been in a couple of times, was ok but it wouldn’t be my number one choice.

Jameson’s is my usual Saturday pre-match place. Sure it’s rough but £8 for 3 Shipyards compared to £5 each in the Firestation for example means it’s a no brainer.

 

Agree 100%, I am no pub snob like some are

 

I love my ales and craft beers, also like trying new places but simply can’t justify the cost
these days!

 

Aye. My brother likes that and can not believe the price of it. 2 .50 a Guinness man. BOGOF compared to firestation!

 

It’s one of my 2 locals with living local along with the harbour view 2 good bars if you like good real ale at affordable prices

 

Is that the one where if half a dozen people are in it would be rammed?

 

Shipyard is lush. I may just start wandering down there at them prices.

Hahaha aye. My brother gets on with the bird who makes the cocktails. So she always sorts us out with the decent gear.

 

I miss pre-match pints.

Me and the missus went for pre match drinks in the summer and as a bonus had the town drunks all providing entertainment arguing with each other in the middle bit outside.
