So far I have to say Parky was more likeable.
With Wilko, seemed an awful appt but the straw I clutched was his history of achievements.

    You're clueless -sorry.
His time on the training field is making us worse not better.

Wake up - Beale isn't a leader or a manager.

Listen mate you've got an agenda. If you were around at any time during the reign of those managers you wouldn't need any context cos you would actually KNOW why they weren't liked. Oh and for your information Buxton was well before COVID!

Dunno who you think you are like - been going since 1977. This clown is utterly impossible to support or think will succeed.

Can't think of anyone who's brought this on themselves so quickly before. He is a charlatan.
    Speakmans bought it. Fans haven't.

You contradict yourself so much here. You are saying Beale isn't good enough cos he doesn't have the pedigree yet Wilkinson and mcmeneny, who had the pedigree, were absolutely awful. There is no guarantees.

It's not about what they've done before it's about the fit and what they can do in this environment with this group of players. Beale, whether you agree or not, has experience of working with young players and, according to someone I know well, is a brilliant coach and well regarded in the game. Whether he can be a top.class manager remains to be seen but six weeks isn't long enough for me.

So what are you going to do? Keep posting the same stuff till everyone on here agrees with you? Ok you don't like Beale, we get it! Now change the tune

    Getting slightly agitated there mate.
However I will explain, Roy Keane, Peter Reid, BSA, Gus are some of the managers that I would class as getting it.
Roy Keane admitted himself he didn't understand how intense the passion for a football club could be till he came here.
He'd heard about it, felt it slightly when he played here but didn't actually understand how it felt till he was amongst it everyday.
So many players have said how they heard about the passion in the north east but you'll never understand till you live it.
Roy Keane mentions in his book , Man Utd fans of one of the most famous clubs in the world get beat on a Saturday the fans are miserable all day on Sunday, if sunderland get beat on a Saturday they are miserable till the following Saturday that's how much it means to them, it is their life.
That's what I mean when I say some managers don't get the club, maybes I'm wrong and they all get it and it just seems like some show it more than others.
I didn't want Beale but I'm certainly not one for calling him to be sacked. However I don't think some of his comments are doing him any favours, there are people that will never accept him even if he goes on a 10 game winning run, there are people who will accept him because the club have employed him.
There are also quite a few on the fence that could go either way that he could do with their backing.
I really hopes he turns things round for one simple reason, that's the effect it will have on sunderland which in the end is all that matters

How am I clueless? Have you worked with him? Do you know people who have? You are judging him on a few games and completely writing him off. Go back to the games prior to his arrival and does that make Mowbray clueless and not a leader or manager. It takes longer than six weeks

Still think the whole 'get it' stuff is bollocks tbh. He's been at rangers and other big clubs so understands that football is important to fans.

" ... our most unpopular manager in 140 years."

Nothing personal but I keep seeing these definitive statements ...

... followed by an instant backtrack when challenged.

It's gone from definitely the worst in everyone's lifetime to one of the worst in yours within two posts.

Moyes was way more unpopular and there's probably a dozen more I could easily name.

Does this fella ring any bells <doh>

I heard a rumour there are some people that don't like the new head coach. Anyone know anything about that?

I can think of a few people who will be along shortly to let you know all about it.

McMenemy too early for me and can only just remember Buxton. But genuinely celebrated the sacking of Wilkinson running through the house shouting on and phoning people to tell them !
Parkinson was more relief and I’d add streaky Lee and Di Canio to that as well

If you want to give beale more time then you're clueless.
If you don't want to give beale more time, you're also clueless.
And whichever camp you're in, you believe the other side are a clueless embarrassment.

    Seems quite clear.
