Who is our Jack.....not Jck200 surely? You appear to be “obsessive compulsive” pal, you were and still are obsessed with Masky and Todge (embarrassingly so), you often get inside the workings of BT, now our friend Jck200 is your current obsession. Careful, If you target Clingy or IB, you will be majorly disappointed (no offence intended)! Masky
Confused Masky? Probably. Jack = Jack Barstewards = Swans fans jck = who knows what? A plague upon this board. I'm not compulsive about them - jck not the Jacks - ( as they are probably not gender specific), I simply revolt against the uneducated, tedious rubbish it posts on here.
Personally I still reckon we should approach Lego. We've had plenty of stick about the outside of the stadium looking like the bloody stuff so why the hell not go for it??? So long as we don't end up with a bloody betting company is all I can say!
Whilst on the subject of our beloved home stadium, I hate to say it but the atmosphere over the last few years has become dreadful down there (apart from a handful of occasions). I know we've not exactly had much to shout about but our fans do seem to have run out of ideas and originality with our singing etc. In years gone by we used to have plenty of songs, some general, some for specific players, now we seem to have so few... Whilst I recognise the club need to up their game ON the pitch, I really think our fans need to up our game OFF the pitch. I'll hold my hands up and say I don't get to as many games as I used to and rarely get to travel away nowadays (the atmosphere always used to be better away from home, even in our Ninian Park days) but we used to be able to generate an atmosphere, even in the worst of times... We are definitely a quiet bunch nowadays at home and that can't be helping the team.
I get to a fair few away games Brizzle and mostly as away fans I would say we generate a pretty good atmosphere and keep it going throughout the game. What has surprised me this season, although perhaps it shouldn't, is how quick our fans turn on our players if they don't get a result even when the opposition are better. The game at Plymouth recently was pretty toxic at the end and unsurprisingly the players didn't hang around to thank the fans as they usually do.
It's another facet of modern support nowadays sadly. Boo when you lose, cheer when you win, regardless of effort involved. Away fans tend to be the more hard core, so more likely to get behind the team but it's a sorry state when they're turning on a team that until now have probably (in the main) exceeded expectations this season after the last few years.
Contrast the two home games v swansea & Bristol when the teamed performed and the fans reacted accordingly to the last home game v Leeds when it was almost like we’d lost within a few minutes of kick off.
Like the last few games of the McCarthy era. If we had 5 cb's would Bulut play them as a back 5? In fairness if any team were playing us with Colin in charge more often than not they knew they were in for a battle. That in turn resulted in more vociferous and less critical support.
