It's all just words and I'm amazed how a grown man like u can become so upset by a few comments that are hardly troy deeney levels. Of course he's trying to change narrative cos guys like you aren't giving him a chance. Amazing how much twisting is going on to suit a certain narrative. When he gets sacked, looking forward to the next manager getting more of a chance. Just hope he doesn't have a mole
Shouldn't have been appointed. Was a bad fit and it's been lifting so far. If the next head coach shows the fans sowm respect and plays on the front foot he will get the opportunity he deserves. Michael Beale has made it about Michael Beale. Honestly, given the reaction, you surely can not think that everyone is wrong?
Honestly what does that even mean. I hate crap like that. It's such a ****ing cliche. What do you mean he doesn't get club?
I think people are looking to pick.faults with him. None of what he's said is that bad but there has been a witch-hunt against him from day one and its become an absolute pile on. What has he said that is so disrespectful? That fans never wanted him and its been personal? It's completely true is it not. What else? After the win against Preston, things were okay but its gone tits up since the Mags debacle and hes the fallguy. You weren't happy with Mowbray either so you must accept all problems on pitch aren't down to beale
People weren't prepared to give him a chance from the start. All this "show the fans some respect" is arrogant, entitled bollocks. How about the fans show the man who's spent 20 plus years learning his trade some respect? He more than deserves the opportunity. Michael Beale certainly has not made it about Michael Beale. People who won't give him a chance because of his accent, his place of birth, and a small mound of flesh on his face have made it about Michael Beale.
I think his failure to take any responsibility and blame everyone but himself has been a huge issue. You can’t claim strong performances when everyone else can see that we are playing a far worse brand of football since he took the reins. That would irk us supporters on its own merit - but to then come out with sarcasm and attack the supporters is a joke. He’s lucky to even be in the position he’s in, but you get the sense that he believes it’s the other way round - and that we are lucky to have him. He’s not helping himself at all.
Never dull is it. Re the fan reaction, it goes without saying the personal abuse to Beale has been pathetic, I think its fair to say this is a small minority. I also found the #Bealeout stuff OTT after 7 games (which IMO has been intensified following the fallout of the mags game) although I do think that the criticism of Beale re the performances and style of play is more than fair and has been a massive concern/disappointment for me. I found the press conference yesterday a bit of a mess if Im honest. Some comments from MB were fair and I think he is absolutely entitled to callout personal attacks but a head coach cant get into a slogging match with supporters, the majority of which have not even been personal about him, some even dont want him gone yet. Where I find it hard to support him now is some of his comments were changing narratives to make him look better IMO. He mentions TMs last 9 games only had 2 wins and then mentions that since the change its been 4 in 9 when he knows 2 of these wins were pre his appointment. A fairer metric would of been his first 6 league games vs TMs last 6, of course he didnt mention this because TM achieved more points. Another one was how we had the second best xg of our season against coventry in his first game, fair enough, but yet theres been no mention or question put to him that 4 of our 5 worst xg performances this season have came under him in only 6 games. Im sorry but this just feels like changing the narrative to suit him and came across poorly to me. The sarcastic remark about the club being in crisis was childish and unprofessional and actually implied that we were doing better than we should be. Have some fans been childish, absolutely, but this is meant to be the bloke leading one of the biggest clubs in the league, if not the biggest, you shouldnt be stooping to those levels for me. I was waiting to see the next two performances after hes had a bit more time on the training pitch to see some improvements but unfortunately its starting to feel that his position is getting close to untenable due to his relationship with the fans, not all his fault imo, but this press conference has possibly made it impossible to amend the relationship.
Ok. I will say it. That is absolutely spot on in my opnion and good on him for coming out fighting. The piece about tactics is exactly what I have seen as well. Sounds to me like he is here to stay and that is just fine by me, until the results prove orherwise. On to Saturday and lets get behind them.
I am not scared of that mate. Will just make me more determined to drown out the negative voices with my own positive one. Beale deserves more respect, he is right, and the players deserve 90 minutes of us roraring them on whatever the circumstance. I will give both tomorrow.
Some will want someone out of our reach no doubt. Had we got Still none of this would be happening, no doubt, even if results were worse. It would be all about recovering from Mowbray. If we do get shot of Beale then we need a change of approach from the top which allows a new coach to come with his team. One common denominator at the minute is Dodds and Proctor, who seem immune.
He is only attacking some fans. Those that are making it personal about him. Or those chanting and booing. They deserve a large slice back in my opinion. Seems like they can dish it out but not take it back. It is daft.
But he has earned respect. He's spent 20 odd years learning his trade. He's been a highly successful coach at some massive clubs. Surely we can show respect to a man who knows far more about coaching a professional football team than 99% of fans.
Can you please tell me why this person who knows more than 99% of us, believes why he hasn't worked in London for the last 10 years?
