I think it's time for someone to hold the FA to account here. How on earth can some of these owners be deemed "fit and proper". It simply beggars belief.

In fact I've just started an e-petition about this. I'll post it once I get a response.

Nigel, how can you call someone 2 leagues lower a rival? We had that problem 2 seasons ago. This year is far more fun - even if you are above us at the moment.

If the worst comes to worst, and we do end up liquidated, with a phoenix club being formed (starting to sound quite attractive after all the **** we've been through over the years) would it be possible to rent our Fratton? I'm pretty sure that Portsmouth council have bought it back. I just couldn't imagine not playing Pompey home games at Fratton.

This has been said before, really hope that Pompey don't go out of business and i'm sure they won't - no one wants fellow football fans to suffer (too much!) and with the derby games being back on this year it adds that little bit more excitement.

However, i;m in agreement with the FA being held accountable, this is going on far too much....

The Skate roll of dishonour just gets longer, money launderers, embezzlers, gun runners, tax evaders etc etc. The club has become a byword for everything that is wrong with modern Football...oh and by the way...<laugh><laugh><laugh>

Pompey fans.....serious question after your recent turmoils.........who was your last "decent" owner? I am struggling to remember who it was and when.

Excuse me . . .

PAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Nobody has suggested that whatever happens with Antonov will see Portsmouth go out of busniess. Antonov doesn't own Portsmouth on his own, Portsmouth is owned by CSI which has at least two other relatively wealthy investors. And Antonov has not been charged with anything yet, he's only a suspect. Maybe its just me, but I'd prefer to wait until he's actually been proven guilty before I make any disparaging remarks about him.

I think the main problem with the fit and proper test is that the FA cannot alter Uk or EU regulations about competitions and market. This is just another ugly head of free market capitalism where buyers do not have to identify themselves.

Location?

Desperation more likely. Portsmouth has had financial trouble since the 1950's and no owner has ever set up a system which would allow the club to be self-sufficent. Instead - because of failure to invest in the stadium, training facilities and youth acedmy - Portsmouth has relied own the wealth of their owners to continue to exist. In that desperation the club has turned, at times, to questionable sources to secure its future.

Thanks Leon. I've always despised the striped set from down the road but when Lord Snooty nearly destroyed everything down there I was always hoping our rivals would pull through somehow. They say- what goes around, comes around eh.
