City travel to Anfield in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday (14.30 GMT). The Reds are enjoying a 2023-24 season that hardly anyone could have predicted after conducting a significant squad overhaul in the summer. Jurgen Klopp's side sit top of the Premier League table by five points and belief is growing that they can win the title. Their supporters also have a Wembley trip to look forward to after Liverpool reached the Carabao Cup final after a 1-1 draw with Fulham produced a 3-2 aggregate victory to set up an encounter against Chelsea next month. As for the FA Cup, the main problem for the Reds is that they have 7 players injured or away at the moment, including their talisman Mo Salah. In contrast, having been missing key players throughout the season, Norwich now have only one injury (Batth) and one doubt (Hanley) and the canaries have improved of late with three successive wins before a narrow 1-0 loss at automatic promotion-chasing Leeds United at Elland Road.
Smash and grab 0-1 crazy last ditch defending with a break away of Rowe slalom run through 5 challenges and clipped into the back of the net.... then I woke up, VAR disallowed it and we lost 4-0
Will there be VAR in this round and as it is at a premier league ground? I can’t remember the rules for its inclusion
Yes VAR as its being played at a Premier League ground. https://www.thefa.com/news/2024/jan...und-proper-match-officials-appointed-20242301
Klopp has announced he is leaving Liverpool! (At the end of the season) - Is he running scared of the Canaries of will he be taking over from Wagner in the Summer?
Not good news from the presser as both Sargent and Rowe will miss the cup game. For Sargent, it's more time to recover from his long-term injury before the Coventry game and as Suffolk says, Rowe broke a bone in his hand in a fall during the Leeds game. Otherwise no new injuries and Hanley is now available as well. https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/team-news-rowe-and-sargent-to-miss-liverpool-trip
