Classic British comedy

I played a gig once where the drummer was so pissed that he was playing the drums for the next song in the playlist, i.e. he was one song ahead of the rest of the band

It was in a Ska band so fortunately most of the drum patterns were similar. As a bass players though, me and him were the rhythm section so I clocked what he was doing, and just listened out for the stops, fills, breaks etc and made sure I slotted in with him.

I told him at the end of each song that he was playing the wrong song and he just carried on anyway

Somehow, like that two ronnies sketch it just kind of worked

 

I wouldn't have noticed, Ska all sounds the same to me

 

Yeah same lol, I think that's why it worked.
