Unfortunately the majority of the population of the world were, and many still are, under the illusion that their government wouldn’t lie to them. Personally after watching Event 201 in October 2019 I doubted every word.

It was a table top exercise carried out by major players back in October 2019 based on the action that would be needed to take by the world governments and NGO’s in the event of a pandemic. A couple of months later, hey presto, a pandemic was announced.
i'm sooooo glad i got persuaded by all those conspiracy theorists out there not to take that drug, even at the slight expense of a tongue-lashing from younger brother. being unable to look at non-existent data for long-term testing was a good excuse. all the other jabs i've had were with stuff that had undergone long-term testing. not sure about the swedish anti-rabies shots though, tbh, but it turned out i didn't need it, but one never knows.
You have the choice not to pay it and not watch terrestrial tv or terrestrial streaming services. I just run an android box through a projector or monitor and don't use iplayer etc. Just got to sign a declaration every now and again.
No, you only need a licence to receive terrestrial tv broadcasts and access their on demand services. But if you're happy with purely online/subscription providers and don't have anything that can receive a signal (ie unplug your aerial to use tv as a monitor) then don't pay it. TV licensing will contact you but you just sign a declaration to say you don't have a tv.
It wasn’t the first exercise to deal with how Governments would handle a pandemic, nor was Covid the first Coronavirus pandemic. I’m quite happy that exercises like this happen. I just wish our Government had listened to some of the outcomes. But that’s politics for another day.

SARS was a corona virus wasn't it? As is the common cold. Trouble happens when it mutates in a way our immune systems haven't seen before. Once we build that immunity via either infection or immunisation then it becomes less dangerous.
Yeah theres been SARs and many others, and a few that have been watched closely over the years I think. I know a lot of scientists said it was a matter of when not if a flu like pandemic occurred.
