I am going. Saturday was different as I would have been on my own and to sit in the cold as Billy no mates was off putting.
I used to not mind going on my own, even went to away game on my own. Just last Saturday cold and travelling beat me into staying at home,
I don’t mind it as much, I’ve been sat by the same people for the last 7 years anyway, not gone away on my own, but I may do one or two before the season finishes.
Mrs R&W and I are going to be in the upper Lansdown for this one. Our son is bringing his fiancé (soon to be wife) to this one and she’s from a family of Man U plastics who only watch their team on Sky or MOTD. He’s hoping she will convert to ‘proper’ football. (Actually I’m being a bit unfair - some of them are Reading fans). Hope the beer is free again - that was a nice touch at the West Ham game…. In the V-Shed for post match celebrations afterward if anyone fancies joining
Over on the Forest forum they are calling us clobbers and they think they will win easy-overconfident comes to mind.
At 2pm I was kicking myself for not going. The game wasn’t off putting, it was the hanging round waiting for the game that put me off. Half time I go out for a vape anyway.
yeah true I know what you mean, I didn’t go Saturday I was in Wigan so not going to comment on a game i never watched , I tend to catch the portway bus about 2.30 and get to the ground 2.45ish that way I’m not stood around for ages waiting for kick off and listening to Downsey drown on and on
I find this site has our games on. http://www.fawanews.com/ I’ve never failed to find any of our games. You need to be a bit patient with the ads - every time you click to start streaming you will get another pop up, but what I do is leave the pop up ads active (don’t close them) and navigate back to the original screen. After doing this about 3 times you get the stream. The ad pages remain there hidden in the background until you close everything down after the game. I tend to use my iPhone to get the stream, then mirror it onto my TV.
‘I am going for’… Chris Sutton predicts who will win tomorrow – Bristol City or Nottingham Forest https://www.nottinghamforest.news/2...n-tomorrow-bristol-city-or-nottingham-forest/
The pundits are tipping us to win which always makes me nervous ! I hope we're not over confident going into this one
we make 45% of the gate plus £120k to win and a lesser amount to lose! .. Q ..... would it be better to win? or to lose? however would a draw be helpful? to our championship asperations? an extra game! ok WE WIN and have another game to go through but that has a space after it!
I really think a win would be good against as side that can score and have speed down both flanks however some may say we need to focus on the regular season as that is our bread and butter. As an aside I just noticed that Bournemouth are 2-0 (oops 3-0) up against Swansea and the first 2 scorers were Lloyd Kelly and Alex Scott and how nice it would have been if we could have held on to some of those moved-on players.
We’re going nowhere in the league, for once I’d like to win a cup game, it depends what attitude Forest come with, if they underestimate us we’ll have a chance, if they are professional I think they’ll win.
Also depends on their game plan and the Managers mindset. They are possibly more interested in trying to stay in the Premiership that a cup run right now ?
Waiting for the train at Swindon. Looking forward to this one. More than a bit concerned we are favourites though - that’s never a good thing…..
