Good Morning. It's Wednesday 24th January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Nat Phillips back on Leeds radar Leeds have once again been linked with a loan move for Liverpool centre back Nat Phillips, after an unimpressive first half of the season north of the border. The 26yo had been linked with a move to Leeds for much of last Summer, but Farke was only interested in a loan deal, which the Reds rejected. They slapped a £10m price tag on the former Bolton academy player, but when nobody came forward, agreed to loan him out to Celtic for the season. Things didn't go to plan for Phillips, and after just six appearances, Liverpool have recalled him. Whilst a centre back wouldn't be top of most fans wish list, he would bolster our back line, and at 6' 3, would add some valuable height to the team. please log in to view this image Leeds fight it out with Brum for Polish Messi Leeds will 'fight it out' with Birmingham City over the signature of highly rated Liverpool youngster Mateusz Musialowski. Morning all. Wont see game tonight as otherwise occupied. Thankfully only a week left of the January Transfer window. Much todo about little every season
Into the last week of the window and Leeds are either not signing a full back or ar doing a great job behind the scenes as no credible rumours around. Get a bit sick of the clickbait stories and seems like today it’s Liverpool players, we’ve also been linked with 5 Bournemouth players, 2 WHU players, 3 from Burnley…….. let’s see how good Hammond and Co are. Oh and on the Nat Phillips front he ain’t as good as Cresswell….. finding it a bit crazy regarding the likes of Cresswell, Gelhardt, Hjelde etc who are anti elsewhere but not here, why is there no movement? Also the new Gnonto contract, does that mean we end up loaning him out, again why?
Morning all. Not convinced myself about the Gnonto contract, will believe it when I see it. Either way, didn’t Farke say at the start of the season that the club wouldn’t agree loan clauses in future contracts. So if Gnonto signs it’s to stay and fight for his place, which is a complete u-turn from his summer stance.
Morning all Archie Gray isn't the worst RB in the division, Firpo isn't the worse LB either, Byram is good cover but obviously it's not ideal as we would need Firpo and Byram to remain fit and a 17 year old to play an entire season of Championship football. At this level Shackleton is also decent cover, we haven't the worst full backs in the division and Leif Davies is no better than Firpo, great going forward and putting in a cross but Leif is terrible at defending. I guess I am trying to say, a full back would be welcomed but if we don't get one it's not the end of the world. Ipswich fans were excited as we entered the window, all believing they were going to strengthen with a top striker, I smiled to myself knowing from experience with supporting Leeds just how hard it is to attract a striker who is ready to walk straight in and get you goals, they might yet still sign one but they are still supposedly searching. I think Ampadu is great at CB, but we did look more dangerous when he pressed forward at the end of the Preston game, I wouldn't mind us signing a quality CB When we beat Ipswich and Leicester first time round, we all feared the January window would see us losing possibly Summerville or Rutter, we are holding on to those that have a future. I believe we will get at least one possibly two players before the window shuts, we are playing the waiting game to ensure we get the right man
The Gnonto situation is even confusing Fabrizio Romano as he admits Leeds are trying to get him to sign a new deal. He is already under contract with is for another 3 years, so we are offering him a pay rise. Romano also says Lazio are trying to get him on loan also other teams in Italy want him. Este mentioned yesterday that Orta is trying to take him to Spain on loan. Have to say that this is the most confusing transfer window ever. No we dont need anyone We get rid of 2 right backs We may add a full back in this window Adding a CB Could make sense However the CBs mentioned are not as good as Cresswell in my view, maybe even Hjelde but …..
Morning all I'm not confused by this Transfer Window, we haven't signed anyone and we either will or won't, couldn't really be any more straightforward. As was the case in the summer, it isn't the clubs job to sell newspapers.
It’s only fans getting worked up from early December predicting there will be four or five incoming. I haven’t kept an eye on other clubs but how many championship or pl leagues are making wholesale. Changes
Having just spent a £5 on a coffee at Starbucks I’ve decided the world’s gone mad and Rodon is easily worth £20million
