Germany is producing so many technically gifted yougsters in the game nowadays...theres Mario Gotze, Marco reus, Toni Kroos, Julian druxlan,Schuale, Mesut Ozil just to name a few.. its a shame that arsenal cant compete with the cash rich clubs like Cash city and real madrid because it just feels like arsenal scouts efforst are wasted.. Once they scout a good player, other big clubs converge on that one player and the rest is history... we will resort to a decent player from france or eastern europe..so annoying!

I think the signings of Arteta and Benayoun showed that they weren't long term solutions to replacing Cesc or Nasri. So I think if Wenger is going to strengthen, it might be in that area.

That said, we could still do with another CB, creative MF and a CF. But I doubt we'll get them all, if any - at least this January anyway.

I would buy these players come january transfer window if possible...
    1. Marco Reus: A creative and Versatile AMF that will fit in well to arsenals style of play.
    2. Jan Vernthogen: solid CB
    3. De rossi: A battling CM and an excellent passer of the ball who comes cheap as well if we can beat liverpool and others interested in him
I know we need a reliable CF to take the goal scoring off RVP but instead of buying another CF, why not give the CFs in the team a chance especially Park and Oxlade chamberlain...

    Just my thoughts..

This article suggests that we're not going to buy anyone:

    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-we-are-not-after-any-players-

But this comment suggests that Wenger IS interested in Gotze:

“Goetze is a very good player, I can understand there is a lot of interest in him around Europe.

“On our side though, I do not think this is the best time to talk about it.”

Looks like Man City could match Barca on paper though..
City has more depth in thier team compared to any other team in europe.

Would not want to draw Napoli in the last 16 if we both get through. They look like a nightmare on the counter.

Awful kick out for the 2nd Benfica goal. Looks like they will only come 2nd in their group. But knowing United's, luck they will probably get through and draw Apoel.

I'd sign half the dortmund squad. Hummels, Subotic, Kagawa, Gotze, Bender, Schmelzer etc.

About Reus, just found out he's ginger, don't want to sign him anymore.

I'm SO calm - when do I EVER slag of those cretins who litter this board with their ill-informed reactionary drivel?
Normally I'd suggest shooting the insane bastards - but I believe in being fair and listening the load of bollocks they spout..

I've just bumped into a crowd of Dortmund fans.
Outside St Pauls Cathedral they were wearing the combination Arsenal and Dortmund scarfs, I asked them why they have the scarfs which was a cast iron invitation for me to be told it's because they ****ing cold, but not known for their sense of humour one of them said that Arsenal are their second team and apparantly they are for many Dortmund fans.
Seemed like a genuine bunch, be nice if the 'you're not singing anymore' brigade took note.....

I've always thought banter with opposing fans as part and parcel of football
