Tried the new series of True Detective tonight, bailed after half an hour. Doesn't seem to have any of the quality it had before which is disappointing as I liked series 3 a lot and thought it was back on track.

It's also obsessed with a teal and orange colour palette which is a pet hate of mine, every bloody thing in every scene has to match it:

I thought we'd got over that ten years ago.

Just finished ‘Obsession’ on Netflix. A little strange at times but decent, enjoyed it. An easy watch.

2nd episode was better. Turning into an Irish Families War, so there is potential there. It's unintentionally hilarious at times. Going to stick with it

Finished Loudermilk for the second time, brilliant show. Hopefully now that Netflix has picked it up we will see a fourth series.

Watched the first one and it seems more like a remake of Fortitude rather than a True Detective series. I'll stick with it though.

Yeah strong Fortitude vibes although not in the same league imo, which is saying something as Fortitude was nowt special really apart from being beautifully filmed. First series was pretty good.

Just finished watching it on Netflix. Never seen it before really enjoyed it. I immediately googled season 4 when I finished it, I didnt realise it had been picked up and dropped a couple times. Also hoping Netflix get it going for a couple of seasons!

While its a comedy, I thought they did a brilliant job of getting you to give a **** about the characters.

Edit, too used to seeking everything called season on Netflix etc.. I'm doing it! **** sake <doh>

Yeah the balance is spot on, some of the storylines are proper heart breaking.

Finished the latest series/season of Fargo tonight, best one yet for me. Certainly my favourite.

That's next on the list. None of them so far have been as good as the 1st series, but I have high hopes for this one after a poor 4th season

Just signed up to a 3 month trial of apple tv. Started watching Slow Horses, two episodes in and gutted I need to sleep <laugh>.

Very good, quick look through apple tv would suggest I'll get a few decent things out of the trial. Including the new Scorcese film, which is 3 and half hours long so need to find time!

Just getting through it now. Only just onto second series.

Very good so far and Gary Oldman is brilliant in it.

I have one gripe so far though, the scenes where Cartwright infiltrates the park to get the photos and swaps clothes with the bloke he has knocked out! You telling me they wouldn't think to check and make sure it was the right bloke?

That'll do for me I'll give it a go this week. I like the Aussie sense of humour and they're not bad at drama either.
