As much as I want to go full strength, there are several players that we just can't risk, imo. Basically, KWP and Downes. Arguably Adarma and THB.
No half glass full here. Too many changes will unstable the ship. Hopefully no affect for next for the league game. Either a score draw or home win. Funny, I’m a 76’ but so much has changed over the yrs especially in FAC. Even if we win & possibly have a surprise victory vs a PL outfit in the 5th, the 6th becomes almost too much. Still wtf, more interested in Rotherham away. Soz.
Watford are 3 points off the playoffs. They go to Wednesday on the Wednesday after our game. I'd be very surprised if they go full strength against us.
There are players that we can bring in, that are regularly involved in the first team but not getting much in the way of starts who should be able to come in and not cause too much of a drop in quality/style/energy. The likes of Stephens/Holgate/Charles/Alcaraz/Rothwell/Mara. That would be a lot of changes, but it's not like we're bringing in players who are past it, never play, or youth who might not be ready for the step up. With the exception of Holgate as he's not our player, I think all of those should start too + probably Lumley. I'd be tempted to rest KWP if we could but unless Bree is back not sure we can.
Getting my request in early - "Where's The Match" currently indicates that the Watford game isn't going to be televised, so are there obvious streaming platforms that we need to turn to on Sunday, to watch Saints glorious victory?
Maybe it's exclusive to ST holders. I got an email with a link to buy a video pass. Not that I need it as I'm going to the game.
It was sent to me on Sunday from the usual Southampton communications email address. Oh hang on, it was the Women's game v Watford. Sorry.
I thought the reason it got moved to the Sunday was because it had been picked up for live broadcast overseas so it should be easy enough to find a stream. I may have just made that up though
The Walsall game was easy enough to stream, and that was a Saturday kick off against League Two opposition.
All these fa cup KO changes are ****ing ridiculous. Why do we need to kick off in Sunday when there are no trains. I struggle to believe anyone abroad is interested in watching a match between two provincial championship clubs. Bournemouth v Swansea on a Thursday night
I honestly think that eventually all games should be streamed by the clubs involved. If you want to go to a game that won’t stop you - and it means more money for the clubs.
Yeah the big clubs want that now. Will make the top division much less competitive though which is why the PL is against it. We'd certainly never compete in the top flight again.
