So, moving the ball back a couple of feet to enable more chance of getting it over the wall and dipping before it reaches the goal should be retaken and any resulting goal disallowed?
they'll be using VAR next to determine the exact location of the foul to make sure the freekick is taken from the precise spot of the foul
Yep,won't be long until they incorporate little men with hard hats rushing onto the pitch with tripods and fancy laser devices atop to pinpoint the exact spot the ball must sit... They are gradually sanitising the game to the point where the bread&butter fan will eventually turn his or her back!!
For me it's the fact that he moved the marker the ref put down. The mark may be wrong but it's the officials decision. Moving it shows a lack of respect and this case is setting a bad example.
Don’t get me wrong I couldn’t care less whether he moved it and got away with it. That’s football. It just grates that they have supposedly brought in VAR to help refs because bad decisions are so financially important for clubs that it’s vital that all the laws of the game need applying accurately, hence offside when someone’s eyelashes are in front of the defender. Either apply the laws or don’t. I’d much rather all that **** is ditched and if they didn’t have VAR and he got away with it then good on him
I absolutely get where you and others are coming from.I'm not defending or mocking it, in any way, shape or form,I don't know how or why he wasn't booked for touching it but there are numerous other occasions during matches where a bit of cheating/****housery also shows lack of respect. On the other subject,I'm digressing from your post here, but I don't think the game needs or wants VAR.Most fans abhor it,it destroys/is destroying fluid Football... 'IF' we were to be promoted this season/next season/whenever,I'd have to ask myself the serious question...Do I want to watch this calamity(VAR) at City games? I think I've already answered my question.
Ref was TWS's twelth man today - one boot in face at head height, nothing one studs on ankle, yellow only and then dubious penalty
Whilst the ref favoured Leeds greatly I don't think there was anything dubious about the penalty. The player moved his arm out to meet the ball.
Sheff United get a penalty equalizer in the 103rd minute. The Hammers goalie, Areola, had to be subbed bef0re the pen was taken. Must feel a bit of a tit having to shirk his responsibility like that.
Man City have got another great youngster on their books, McAtee who is on loan at the Blunts is some player.
Telephone numbers... Manure are ready to offload Casameiro (their highest earner) bought for £60 million 18 months ago as he's not part of the clubs plans. They may agree a termination to his contract by paying him £20 million...
Meanwhile if Bezos or Gates wanted to. buy City or any other similar club they would be restricted as to what they could spend by FFP.
Foxes and Ipswich playing a dull one , Ipswich not done anything so far . Mind you I often jump the gun!
