Think these are just prototypes. They'll smarter them up before putting them in the shop, probably in two weeks. Problem is that the prototypes will be on sale on Walton Street Market next week
How about "1642 - 2011: NO SURRENDER!" http://www.british-civil-wars.co.uk/military/1642-yorkshire.htm
seems a hurried response to what could be a short term puff of publicity. Sort of McQuire-ish perhaps. could be embaraassing for Nick if things work out less than hoped!
how about - Brylcream In Me 'Air - Three Day Millionaires!
I think that whils they look a bit drawn on (obviously they'll look smarter when properly printed), it's a really good idea from the club and it's good that our support at Derby didn't go unnoticed and that they are responding to it and getting involved with us. So many clubs are completely out of touch with the fans but City are doing very well behind the scenes at the moment. I'm really pleased to see this.
This is all tempting fate in my view. Said before I love Nick B to death for what he has done and hope like hell he succeeds as our manager.......BUT! He is the manager, if things start to go wrong the owners will sack him just like they would any other manager. This kind of celebrationalist triumphalism (Yes I was reading the dictionary last night) should be reserved for those who have walked the walk, not for the ones who have managed for one game, or even for one season. Begging to come back and bite us!
Surely then they'd just become iconic collectors' items? It'd be like owning a "The future's bright, the future's Hately" t-shirt nowadays.
I don't think the club has produced any decent merchandise. Deffo won;t be buying any of it. I'd have waited a few more games before christening Barmby as some sort of Messiah.
