Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t want to leave until we bought a certain fit and it won’t be happening this window. We’ve got too much else to do

Like I said earlier, I'm just passing on what I was told yesterday. The lad is 65 years old and has no reason to make it up. He was sat beside Pritchards uncle at Ipswich.

I’ve said this loads but playing Jobe is having a massive detrimental effect on the team. Our best players should be in their most effective positions.

Pritchard is, along with Clarke, by far one of our most creative players. He can spot runs that Rusyn makes and isn’t afraid to try the through ball…so where does Beal play him? On the ****ing wing just to ensure Jobe starts. This just slowed the ball down whenever it got to that position.

I can’t understand how Beale doesn’t see this! The danger is Jobe will start getting stick from the fans eventually which won’t help the kid at all. He needs a spell on the bench.

Yep. The high press was as clear as day imo. Players were literally posing as if in starting blocks waiting for that trigger. The problem in my opinion, as you say was pace. We do have a distinct lack of pace in the side meaning a press has to be very structured, based on zones to press into, rather than across the line. It looked straight forward enough to me they wanted to hunt the full backs in their zones. Dan Neil at times broke to force the centre half to go wide where Rusyn or Jobe had drifted to try and spring a trap. It was straight from the training ground. Hull were pretty good at playing through, and at times the players seemed to not be in synch with each other. It wasnt effective but you could see what the coaches are looking for.

I think we have replacements for him but as you said they arent ready yet

Def keep until the end of the season at least, unless we get a stupid offer which i dont think we would get for him

Well Mowbray also did it. Just played Pritch the false 9 not the right which he’s also not made for. That’s why people are questioning Jobes terms and conditions. I think we have to be careful not to start thinking Jobe is a **** player - he isn’t - and also it’s healthy we create opportunities for emerging youngsters to play. You can’t just keep on repeating contracts on ‘good lads’ or the opportunity has gone. I wouldn’t give Pritch a new contract being honest but I wouldn’t move him on this window. The fee will be a pittance anyway so it’s not worth what we’d get.

Yeah the lad is certainly not **** he just looks knackered and a bit low on confidence, he’s not spotting the passes or being anywhere as forward minded as Pritchard and I think that’s where some fans could start getting on his back.

Just look at the difference it made to Dan Neil when he was rested after playing too many games early on in his career, he came back a much better player.

That's fair enough. I've no idea what any player earns. I assumed that he would have been on big money at Huddersfield and we woukd have had to pay him well to drop down a league.

Back to transfers I don’t think we need that much if we actually start players in their best positions.

Personally I would prioritise the need for a left back so Hume can be on the right, following that ideally a proper CDM.

I don’t think a striker would even make any difference unless we start improving the supply to whoever is playing up front.

Jobe will be a fine player one day I have no doubt, as will two or three others in the pipe line who in comparison haven't had a look in . He needs a rest .

Just put that match on to make sure I am clueless.

2nd press within 3 minutes and we've won the ball high up.

5th minute and O9 is in the final third pressing them lol

7th minute a poor ball by Pritchard over to Jobe

7:26 high press and we win the ball outside their box. Pritchard's poor cross to Dan Neil free at the back post.

8:46 another poor ball into the box from the wife left by Pritchard results in the defender putting out for a corner.

9:38 and we have 5 players trying to pin them in the corner.

10:52 and we have 5 players pressing them to win the ball up high

12:40 poor shot from Pritchard with his left peg is more like a pass to the keeper but encouraging

13:22 we have 5 players pressing in the final third

15 mins and Hull have done nowt. Danny Collins already mentioning the crowd getting restless.

15:27 we have 5 players pressing in the final third

17 mins and poor ball from Pritchard for Rusyn but it would still have been difficult to make anything from it.

18 mins and Rusyn pressing the keeper with 3 Sunderland players high up to follow up his press. Even O9 appears to make it 5 players pushing on making it 7 players in their half while they have the ball

18:31 ans we every player apart from Patterson and Hume in their half while we have the ball. Clarke then dribbles at their defenders and ****s up on the box.

19:30 and we have 3 pinning them in the corner, O9 high up and Jobe pressing them on their right side to block their options. Danny Collins even highlights the high press hahahaha

19:59 and we have 8 players in their half trying to stop them playing out and we win the ball

20 mins and it's looking fairly good so far. Pritchard fluffing our two best chances.

21 mins it's their first half decent attack and it's stopped by Ballard.

22 mins Hull have the ball and we have 4 players pressing their 5 making them go back to the keeper. Rusyn nearly wins because of a poor pass.

23 mins high press means Hull go long

23 good tackle by Pritchard in our half but we don't follow up the 1-2 and Hull have half a chance

25 mins and the high press results on Hull playing it our for our throw in.

26 mins and Hull are pushed back to their keeper from our half . They are starting to pass it about but we have 7 players pressing them in their half and O9 concedes a foul for a push which looks harsh.

27:43 and Danny Collins highlights MB is telling the players to push up. 5 in their half with O9 about to cross the halfway line. Franky mentions the fans will get restless if things continue like this......

28 mins and Hull have their first bit of real play in our half and everyone is in our way defending as a TEAM.

28:50 poor defending from us and Hull should have scored.

29:50 we are breaking and a professional means their lad goes in the book.

31 mins and 8 of our players in their half for their throw in and we win the ball. Rusyn then gets hit in the face off their RB who could have been sent off for the forearm smash.

32 mins and 7 of our lot pressing in the Hull half and O9 win the ball high up as they try and play through the press.

32:50 and O9 reacts to stupidly to Carvalho off the ball. Should have been booked in my opinion.

33 mins and first sign of a disconnect between the defence and the front lads.

34 mins and JC being soft and goes down without any real foul on him.

35 and great play by JC but nobody around him to support. The ball goes out to the other side and then ball in is an awkward height for JC to header it at goal. Another big chance.

37 mins and everyone apart from Patterson is in their half while we have the ball. A couple of poor crosses in the both lead to nothing. Mainly been all us apart from the off counter from Hull.

38 mins and we have a good break but it leads to nothing due to a poor through ball from Pritch. The ball finds it way back to him and he does a little Messi run before he's wiped out by what looks like a late 2 footed challenge. The replays are crap for these sort of things.

40 mins and an awful worked free kick is played to O9 and it goes out for a goal kick

40 mins and Hull try and play it out and O9 wins the ball high in their half due to Hull poorly playing the ball out. Another great chance gone.

41:43 and we are sitting deep in our half as Hull finally see their chance to get hold of it and push us back. It leads to nothing and Rusyn, JC, Neil, Jobe and Pritchard all push up to stop their keeper from playing it out.

42 mins and Neil brought down as we break on them. The 5th Hull booking.

43 and everyone of our players apart from Patterson in their half with us in possession

44 mins great play from O9 to Pritch to Seelts and then Pritchard fails to connect with his shot and another chance good begging.

Half time and boos ring out against the young side dominating the game.

Could it have been better? Yes.

Should we have scored? Yes a few times.

Did we Press them? It seems not.

If I get time I'll do the 2nd half after my dinner.

    I don't understand what's happening with Jewison!
To me...he's done absolutely nothing wrong.
I think he scored on his debut away to Watford last season. Against Southampton this season he came on and did a fantastic assist for Riggs goal. His heart seems to be in it.
So what's the problem with him?

It’s a strange one, language barrier maybe? Also think his best position is left wing so Clarke is always going to play there.

People are seeing him every day in training and not picking him for a reason though.

Might be Langstaff. A Notts County mate says they are looking at players to come in all of a sudden and thinks a price may have been agreed with someone. Also says it wont be Swansea as Williams has a clause not to poach anyone until the summer.

I have been saying this about players for a while mate. They get a chance to shine every day, not just match days. Coaches will trust players if they earn it in training. In a week where there are weekend games only you will see some high intensity sessions. It is not uncommon for a bounce game to be played too, or an internal 11v11. These are massive for coaches to see where fringe players are and if they are ready to start games, or make an impact over a longer period. If a player isnt looking good enough to replace someone they wont get picked out of hope.
