Id say our managers position is close to untenable this morning after his statement yesterday.

For him and our sake I think he has to go.

What he said should have been behind closed doors.

Has he seen Tan's reaction to criticism before?
Perhaps he's manufacturing his exit with a pay off and trying to protect his reputation.
    Doesn't help us either way.

A managers job is to get the best from the players at the club and to win football games. Not many clubs have had the investment Tan has given the club, ticket sales £5 million total wage bill £20 million the deficit paid by Tan. Not many championship sides can match the club`s record, 2 promotions to the premier league and a number of play-off`s. Not many clubs finish top of the championship, this club has finished as champions. Bias shows when a manager tells his players they do not have the quality,, makes excuses after excuse about dire performances, takes a player off at half time who has scored a goal and made an assist and his reason is he is not happy with that players performance but supports that manager because of a long standing bias against the owner who has invested over £300 million in the club. Plymouth may not have the quality but my god the managers got the best from them while our manager got the worst from our players.

    really ?
no wonder we are in the mire ....
we should do what other clubs do, and perhaps try getting extra cash from ummm maybe...
    Television revenue (SKY etc)
    merchandise
    advertising
    player sales
    hospitality
    ground rental (concerts etc)
some clubs have even been known to take buckets around for spare coppers

Given he’s a businessman first and foremost I get his commercial pursuit re Sala but is this all out no holds barred onslaught diverting his attention away from the current issues facing the football side of the club?

His seeming satisfaction the club will eke out enough points to survive in this league and have a look at it in the summer is all fine & dandy but missing one massive point ie us fans are getting more & more disenchanted with the football team constantly being out played and that is a huge miscalculation as fans will drift away as justifiably they would feel their support is immaterial and dispensable. The club would be nothing without its fans.

It’s not a one way street; yes it’s his money but he’s got to treat us fans better. His manager has stated he needs new players, so he should put trust in his manager and give us fans something to enjoy. Bulut can’t be judged on past managers’ transfer errors. Who could blame him if he walked? There’s be plenty of candidates but who would want to manage a club with his hands tied behind his back in the transfer market?

Ryan Giggs left the Welsh team/squad in pretty good shape for Robert Page but the press went after him before he could enter a plea in court
I also don't like him as a person but as a manager of my team he'd be most welcome

    Arrest and trial
On 3 November 2020, Giggs was arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault against his ex-girlfriend, Kate Greville, and her younger sister, Emma.[221] He denied the charges against him.[222]

In April 2021, he was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to Kate Greville and common assault against Emma Greville, as well as coercive and controlling behaviour against Kate.[223] On 28 April, he appeared in court, where he denied the charges.[224]

His trial began on 8 August 2022.[225] The jury of seven women and four men was discharged on 31 August, having been unable to reach a verdict on any of the charges.[226] On 18 July 2023, two weeks before he was due to face a retrial, Giggs was cleared as the Crown Prosecution Service withdrew charges. The prosecutor said that Kate Greville was unwilling to give evidence in the retrial.[227]

I am judging Bulut on his sides performances on the pitch and his points tally of 10 from 33, anyone happy that is the best he can do deserve this mess. It is another chance to blame Tan, Leicester, Leeds and Plymouth Bulut set up to defend, is that what you want? It is what we are getting from this manager. Thank god Tan is in charge and not people on forums. people with absolutely no idea of running a football club are those like me who have never owned a football club. It is easy to be an expert on running a football club with no experience and none of your money.

So Tan owning a football club makes him "experienced" in the running of it and appointing footballing staff?

Excuse me. If Bulut is that bad - and I must admit I've got serious doubts about him myself - why did Tan appoint him in the first place? His argument might be that "Dalman told me to and it's his fault".

Are Dalman and Choo the right guys "up front" or are they just carrying out Tan's instructions which if so, have been seriously flawed.

Employing some serious football knowledge at the top level of the club over here rather than trying to run it from 6000 miles away would be a huge step forward.

I'm not looking for an argument jck, but some of your posts are so simplistic.

I genuinely admire your patience Sparkey and your ability to give our friend the benefit of a polite reply. <applause>
But back to the football, I don't think that we had any real chance to develop an informed opinion about Bulut. My initial reaction to his appointment was that it was a job for Dalman's mate and not with the club's interest at heart. Since then, he's turned me around a little and despite what seemed to be a few glaring errors, he's done alright with his diminishing squad. However, as I say, I can't have an informed opinion of the guy. He could well be rubbish but I wonder how he'd be with better tools at his disposal.
Anyway, I reckon it's a moot point now having blotted his copy book with Tan. It could be another one gone in frustration with the owner.
We keep going on about it but sure it's now beyond any reasonable doubt that if Tan is serious about Cardiff City, then he needs to get some footballing expertise to run the club.

It is simple no one here has ever run a football club at this level. It is simple Tan wanted Morrison and held talks with him in London Dalman talked Tan into getting Bulut. Even making it simple confuses a lot on here. This is a contradiction if you think Bulut has any football knowledge, The manager picks the team and how we play, if we are not winning games he is not doing the job. Anyone can think what they like but they have no say in how we play, we can thank the manager for that. Nearly every top manager has been sacked for not winning games Mourinho sacked 6 times would you say he has no knowledge of football?

One minute we are a poor championship side and the next we should have a top manager and top players. That does not compute with me. Either we are rubbish so put up with that or we are better than that and should under Bulut be playing a lot better.

Good names amongst those Cat but I fear not one of them would put up with the owner and board for more than a couple of months.

This debate will run & run whilst Tan is in charge. A book could be written on his relationship with a stream of the managers during his reign and the effect on the club’s fortunes.

City haven’t got a game now until after the window shuts. The make up of the team bus to Watford that day will tell us fans a lot!

Bulut has done a really good job getting this squad where it is.

We cant have a manager sounding off like he did yesterday in public. Its probably sunk the morale of the squad to a new low.

Its really not what we want but we probably need to part company. I dont think he wants to be here so better he moves on.

If I see any more suggestions of Chris Coleman though im boycotting this forum.<laugh>
