It'll be a case of just one in if one goes out according to VI - presumably meaning that Louza will be the only one to be replaced... https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/24045636.watford-signing-ideas-players-also-move/
Edging closer to being more than just a rumour. A strange one this - the guy has only played about two minutes in Serie A and, annoyingly, signing him will mean Mattie Pollock leaving.
You'd think he would have realised that before announcing it last week. Presumably Pollock will be staying now?
Seems like this chap will be coming . Let’s hope the negative comments end up eating their words like with Livermore !
Doesn't exactly reek of ambition this one - a Serie B striker with 2 goals in 18 appearances this season. https://the72.co.uk/2024/01/17/watf...serie-b-striker-before-the-end-of-the-window/
If Healey goes to Huddersfield and, as rumoured, Rajovic goes to Ipswich, Bayo is going to be one busy boy if we don't get a replacement or two. Have to say that I'm not enthused by the two rumoured signings from Italy though...
Talk of Tom Ince going out on loan which wouldn't be the biggest surprise but then this was in the Sun so....
I honestly think the surprise was that we signed him in the first place - he hasn't really impressed, which is what I expected.
One black mark against Ismael maybe who admitted himself he really wanted to bring Ince in. Maybe why I'm not in a great rush to get players in for the sake of it although do need some just to add more depth.
His overall scoring record over the years is not that bad. 98 goals in 437 games, but 12 different clubs, with lots of loans, says that he doesn't exactly set the world on fire. It was suggested he cost Watford £50,000 so maybe worth a punt when we were short on numbers. Very much a journeyman player in my opinion, not someone who will be adding to his games in the EPL.
I don't know where websites like this get their figures from - or how accurate they are - but this one isn't the only one quoting this as his salary. https://www.capology.com/club/watford/salaries/ He's the second highest earner at the club, now that Louza has departed, with a weekly salary of £30k - which makes absolutely no sense when you read that Ken Sema is on half that.
Must be due a new contract at some point unless we feel he won't sign one. Be surprised if Ince came in and was the highest - doubt that would have gone down well. But maybe this is why we have a good spirit as they all seem to be paid around the same to some extent. Or maybe know if they perform well they could get an increase.
