Also, is the Reserve fixture against Man U on tonight or did that get postponed?

    It got postponed.

    Rain stopped play

A waterlogged pitch at the Northumberland FA's home ground of Whitley Park has caused the postponement of this evening's reserve fixture against Manchester United. No new date has yet been announced.

I think he's the number 7, and the reserve game is cancelled. Is McLaughlin playing left wing?

If Richardson was the ginger no.7 he looked canny but he got taken off 10/15 mins ago.

Edit: Im lying, he's just not done anything in that time.

Right, I know they're kids, and I know it's getting late in the game, but this pretty much sums up where I think English football is going wrong...

Our lads are physical, but simply loft the ball forward and hope for the best...No composure n no control...The passing between the Italians is great, to feet and on the floor.

Even Inman who is one of the bigger names on the pitch, looks like he's got the ability, but he is just launching thigh high/over head height passes into a general area!

Don't mean to sound pessimistic, I love the 'lion spirit' side to the english game, but until we stop putting emphasis on size and strength n put it back on ability we're gunna continue to have these problems!

In Barca, they don't make them do strength/speed training 'till they're 15, before that they focus entirely on working with the ball!

I agree, English football needs far more focus on technique, although I'd not want that to come at the expensive of the physicality (not that it should have to, but seems to be the way it goes). We need to lose the lump it forward mentality and get ground passing, attacking movement and fancy touches up to scratch.

That's what's wrong with our senior team aswell tbh!

Although we are slightly changing our style with the current strikers(Best and Lover) who posses more of a ability to play on the deck instead of the likes of Carroll and Ameobi who we used to just hoof it up to..

I don't mind the long ball/hoofball/direct football or whatever you want to call it, but if it's constant then it's really annoying and unbearable.
