Saying something about Prichard. Easy link to make. They don't want to increase or match his terms. Therefore, he will probably be away. His actions at the final whistle and towards Beale looks like he knows he will be away. Would 100% keep him me.
I’ll be gutted if he goes this window, we improve ten fold with him on the pitch, can see him going deadline day though similar to Gooch
I knew there was something, guess it doesn't really apply with Pritchard as his contract ends in 6 months
Yeah if course. Or some deal will be made where we let them know no suitable deal will be offered and they find a better one elsewhere. Gooch and Baath etc.
I think at a certain level there's an element of being able to brute force it using data only, but the higher you get up the leagues the more going and watching a player is important. I'd be very interested to see how many times we watched Hemir, for example, because looking lazy would be an immediate red flag for the supporters and a scout would probably know that.
Think he has captained them a few times. Was a good game between them and Birmingham yesterday. Stoke threw the kitchen sink at them when they went behind, 4 up front and pinned them right back. Next week's going to be a test
My view on Pritchard. If we can sign a regular goal scorer who can play that role let him go, if not keep him, He makes us tick but we need more goal scorers in our side and his goal output, even assists are few and far between, Same with Roberts. He was out of position the other night but that didn’t make him waste 75% of our dead ball kicks.
In my experience, the lower down you go, the less data is used. In the case of Hemir, I'd imagine that the club would have a data package and would have had videos of his games at the very least. He was probably also watched by local scouts.
I'm sure I saw something about clubs lower down using things like Football Manager as data sources because their data was useful and basically free Cheaper than sending someone to the other end of the country I suppose.
Not at all. Just talking generally. I think it's pretty clever to use Football Manager as a scouting tool if you can't afford scouts.
Lots of lower league teams will have volunteer scouts, this is a win win as gives the scout experience at a football club n saves the club money I volunteer for the club i scout for as they dont have a massive budget but have around 12 volunteer scouts to support the 3 full time scouts
