I don't know how accurate the info is, but someone went to an awful lot of trouble if it isn't <ok>

    Thanks Killer

Looking at that website, and assuming it is reasonably accurate, the taunt about our lower attendances in the early 90's doesn't really mean much. In general across most teams (exclude the likes of Man Utd etc) we well below what they are today - including QPR.

<laugh>On Carra`s thread last week about Norwich and Ipswich both playing at home to QPR and Reading respectively, i suggested that QPR would not take up their full allocation and was slated by ELLERS in particular ,who was certain that they would take the full amount, and backed up by one or two of our posters...
The fact is QPR have taken barely half of their allocation, and i was correct in my assumption....
I remember small London teams like Leyton Orient bringing larger away support than that, GLOBAL BRAND??

lets be honest, the chances of qpr ever becoming a global brand are next to nothing, but at least their fans now have a positive, forward thinking club to support and a future to look forward to, something to aim for as opposed to before under the stewardship of ecclestone and briatore. we can't slate them for wanting the world. probably 99.9% won't happen but thats what supporters do - dream! <ok>

"we can't slate them for wanting the world." Yes you can Supers, if a few idiots start believing their own hype...... When we were sponsored by Proton, there was talk of breaking the Malaysian market and even a promotional summer tour...
GLOBAL BRAND is the kind of phrase used by marketing men, not by football fans..... And by the way Delia Smith is a GLOBAL BRAND..... Does anyone actually know the name of Tony Ferrino`s budget airline????

No offence, but I think you would be hard pressed to find many City fans who are jealous of QPR.

We're happy where we are. Good luck to you guys with your new owner, but keep it realistic.

Air Aisa - A comparatively small company in Asia oddly enough where most flights are to other Asian countries, with the exception of London & Paris

super, its certainly slightly delusional but there's nothing wrong with them aspiring for it. as i say i very much doubt 'becoming a global brand' can happen - only really big clubs can become a global brand. qpr will never be a massive football club. they can be successful, they can be rich, they can build a new stadium but they will not reach the heights of manchester united, arsenal, liverpool, even chelsea. you just stated yourself that we got sucked into the marketing ploys our own club used to tap into the malaysian market - it was all bollocks. qpr at least have fernandes who runs half the malaysian market! however, my own feeling is that if the norwich board weren't convinced he could bring anything to us when we were, lets face it, pretty desperate to move forward, i find it very unlikely he will be the messiah for them either.

Jealous because you don`t have any fans?......... Oh wait, you are doing a Chelsea again , claiming we are all jealous because your sugar daddy can outspend us? NO, 1500 fans for a 2 hr trip ?and one of your posters tells me that you are one of the best away supported clubs behind Man U and ,now in 5 years time you will be up there with Coca Cola or Google as a Global brand?..........
