    I am hoping that the eggs an
    d milk and also the bit of oil I put it in the mix with bind it enough together, but yeah grated probably would have been better. You reckon it will be OK to cook it now, even if kids won't be back for a couple of hours? It should keep its moisture in the loaf tin and even when I take it out and cools it should still be fine?

    Yes. You should let it stand and cool anyway. If you try to cut it when it's hot it will definitely fall apart. Best to try and get it out of the tin ASAP.

    Definitely. But let it stand before attempting it. Meatloaf can and probably should be served cool. If you want to serve it hot let it cool the slice it put it in the microwave for a minute.
