That is interesting. He joined Fortuna permanently in the summer after his loan spell last season. Either we tried to sign him before he committed to Fortuna or we tried to sign him the same window he joined them permanently. In fact, Fortuna exercised their buy option as early as April and he signed a contract 1st July so we must’ve tried to signed immediately after he joined Fortuna. Quite rare when a player makes two permanent moves in the same transfer window. I remember that Bebe joining Man Utd the same summer after already transferring to another club but that deal was quite dodgy apparently.
Might be we tried to get him on loan and he may have wanted a Perm deal, we might not have been able to offer a perm in the summer, or maybe he can now see the direction the club is going bit surprised though they sold him so quick.
