That was the problem with the right side last night no threat, hull knew this so could afford to have 3 men covering the left against Clark and that would nullify our attack. At least play a right winger to counteract it

It’s tough with Beale. I’m torn between my ‘nature’ which is to defend someone who’s being unfairly treated and galvanise behind them, and the reality which is that he does look a long way short, looks really under pressure and unsuitable.

I said last night and maintain the gaping holes in the squad are the biggest handicap at all so I think it needs given to end of the window and see what we have to work with.

I certainly can’t get on board with the personal insults and slurs that simply isn’t right at all. I don’t care of the blokes from Uranus if he can get us performing.

He just needs to show us something, and he needs to be stronger in taking responsibility and keeping heat of our young squad. That part I have a major problem with as I would in my own work life.

He needs to stand tall and inspire. It’s a massive opportunity for any manager and he won’t get it right if he doesn’t believe he will.

Really feel for seelt, barely put a foot wrong since he came here and he’s shoved out on the right when he does get a chance, onien would have offered us more at full back, move Seelt alongside Ballard but what do I know

And, I still can't believe Ekwah and Seelt were the ones hooked. Seelt deserves a run in the team. Confident lad.

Seelt and Ballard can be a monstrous and dominant CB pairing, and compliment each other in many ways

Beale is ****ing ****. Every metric. We are worse to watch. Makes the worst subs. Poor results. Fans chanting for him out already.

Everyone knew it was a **** appointment but for some reason, we have to give it time. No we don't.

    Garbage.

I don’t agree he’s garbage but I have never and will never stray from my opinion.

He is not a CB and shouldn’t be playing there when we have options for that shirt.

Did they though? There’s still some on here, other boards and social media desperate to defend the bloke. He’s an absolute clown and should be nowhere near SAFC - just like Parkinson when he was here.

That's just people who will never be critical. He could be pounding their Mrs and it would be ok, he deserves support.

You don't just get time and support. It's not a freebie. It's a ****, weak, free appointment and the seasons done. We are **** to watch. Boring.

There are zero positives. We are slow and boring to watch. Results are ****. He speaks ****. Doesn't get us at all. Totally wrote of the season. Still think we will finish 12-14th due to it. Just hope he gets sacked before next year.

A lot of the fan reaction though is fuelled by social media and other people’s opinions.

For every knowledgable fan there’s another who just goes along with general consensus.

Obviously I’m massively concerned but I didn’t hear any of the lads around me who have sat there for years on end shouting Beale out.

Not saying some don’t think it mind…

Our full end was changing Beale out. At home Vs Hull, in his 6th or 7th game in charge.

Play them 2 plus Alesi as a back 3. Move O9 into a midfield 5 and 2 upfront.

There's a real danger of a tailspin now and all the good work that's been done being lost.

It's bad getting an appointment wrong, but it's worse riding that decision all the way to destruction.

4/5 of Sunderland’s lowest xG this season have come in 4/6 of Mick Beale’s games in charge:

    Rotherham (A) - 0.35
    Preston (H) - 0.50
    Middlesbrough (H) - 0.55*
    Hull (H) - 0.70
    Ipswich (A) - 0.80

*Under Tony Mowbray and played 45 mins with10 men

    Beale out.

    Parkinson? That’s what I reckon!

I can’t work Beale out.subs seem to be way too late. As you say, pretty much like Mowbray was at the end. Pritchard bellowing at the manager was telling (to me) as well.

I hope he turns it around, I just can’t see it.

On the plus side, we are still pushing for the play offs points wise!

there were some lovely passing moves from the team last night. Sadly these were exceptions to the other 95% of our play.

Edit; everyone on here knows I’m an optimist, but last night was nothing to be optimistic about

id be over the moon if he did but the signs aren’t very good, just don’t get why we’re not trying anything different! I don’t buy into the fact the players aren’t good enough everyone of them has at some point looked decent but we’re never gona get the best out of players when there only getting a few minutes here and there and out of position.
