Righto, **** the ****ing sheared suspension arm, went out with Mrs Chief for some decent Spanish food tonight, and it didn't let us down. El Pescador @luvgonzo My starter, pork belly with prune 'sauce' and pork cracking crisp, or summat. Calamari with a chickpea salad being eaten opposite there by Sqwaw Chief. Main, and this is a bit weird tbh. Mahi Mahi. No, never ****ing heard of it either but it sounded a good idea. Was tasty enough, but an odd texture. Neither flaky like cod or meaty like monkfish. Slight regret on this one, can't lie. This with a creamy samphire and clam sauce. Couple of gambas on the side. Dessert, Basque burnt cheesecake. With blackberry sauce and an incredible tasting ice cream. Top marks. Then next door to the tapas bar and a couple of large Monkey 47 G&T's. Mrs Chief now asleep ffs.
It really is, actually love it and my go to place currently. Mrs Chief had the Hake, which is a really good staple of theirs. Same sauce as the 'exotic' fish I ate, and miles better and less quirky. **** knows where that came from. Couple of screechy/sweary tables nearby but could block those out. My Mum had bought us a voucher for Christmas, so the only cost was the difference and hearty tip, and the G&T's next door. Burgled a roll or course. *lied earlier.
