For me his best position is on the left so he is never going to get much time as long as Clarke is fit. Not sure I see him as a striker, could possibly play on the right but Ba does a decent job there when Roberts is out.

true enough but Clarke can have a rest as well, he’s played every minute of every game and is only young himself we play twice a wk most weeks and playing the same team every game is one of the reasons I don’t think we look as sharp as we can be.
It wouldn’t be the end of the world if Clarke for example started on the bench the opposition would have to change there tactics too because they know for a fact he will be starting and they prity much always double up on him.

Not sure this version of kicking it at the goal will work , can’t see Patterson involved in any of those moves

The lack of variety in line up, especially given age of squad, does seem odd. Not much choice with CM at moment ofc, hopefully see Rusyn back in.

Anyone been to the beacon fanzone? Is it worth trying or better off just sticking to the pubs?

If Bellingham starts tonight I think we can safely assume he'll only get a rest when he gets injured or suspended.

The boy's absolutely knackered though. If he does have a must play clause in his contract we should be speaking to whoever oversees that and telling them he'll end up injured or burned out. The duty of care to look after him should take priority.

Here's how I would line up tonight:

please log in to view this image

Time to change things up a bit.

I'd get Ekwah and Neil to sit, O'Nien or Seelt to move into DM to free up one to join the attack when in possession, I'd get the front three of Clarke, Mayenda and Rusyn to swap and exchange, so Clarke NOT playing as a winger but instead left forward that swaps and rotates with the others, I'd use Hume and Aji to push up quite high and the 3 CBs should manage that ok. Feel sorry for Pritch here but we need a freshener.

I'd also go more direct and ask the lads to get numbers into the box more often, deliver more crosses from deep.

Shouldnt be starting 5 defenders at home against a team struggling with injuries

I kmow you said alese n hume to push up high but both are defenders and don't really offer anything going forward - plus think alese might be out injured tonight?

Pritchard has to start as looked good recently, Ba impressed against ipswich so for me deserves to start and i agree with rusyn starting

Wonder if alese is missing whether theyll start pembele - unlikely n mosy likely itll be seelt as a rb n hume lb

Must win in my opinion as we need to get some momentum back n they are missing so many key players

I hope this is the team tbh, still think jobe will start tho. Think the above gives us good balance between attack n defence

We've looked so weak at the back recently, I'd rather try and be solid and nick a winner.

rusyn impressed when he scored then was benched the Nxt game so it’s a lottery what he’s gonna do imo.

My only issue is Seelt at RB, if Pembele is fit i'd much rather see him play
