Obviously they want a financial penalty, everyone at Everton or any other club that's taken foul to the financial regulations will want a financial penalty; they like to chuck money at a problem! A financial penalty should NEVER be the punishment for a club failing to fulfill their financial obligations
I agree on both counts. The reality with Everton that some of their fans aren't seeing is that any financial penalty could and possibly would put them into administration which is a 9 point deduction in itself which would be a far worse outcome for them. As the panel said, gaining a sporting advantage will result in a sporting penalty.
You'll probably be different to me being from the city but, I've no time for Everton nowadays. I used to like them (as much as you could with a rival) but after their "performances" against is in recent years l, they can do one as far as I'm concerned.
It's difficult for me because my Dad (love him, miss him) was an Evertonian so, while I feel I can criticise them, I can't not hold a sentimental spot for them.
Yeah, the family thing - I get that, as my mum was a Blue. As were several uncles, cousins, aunts, etc. My call on all this is that I remember when Usmanov got involved and Alan Stubbs was saying they'd won the transfer window (!), Tobes and PJ giving it loads and suddenly taking back all they'd said about City, Chelsea and buying the league... well I said then they'd change their tune if they didn't get top four and CL and that, on their revenue, they were doing another Leeds circa 2002. But that was before FFP - I truly don't agree with docking them points (ineffective anyway - there are three teams below them going down anyway), but they should be hammered financially, and a transfer ban and be made to pay a £100m fine out of their revenue with no sugar-daddies or new owners paying it all off like Chelsea have somehow managed. And talking of them and City, the same thing but on a 10 x larger scale: fined billions and forced to pay it off over the years through just pure revenue, and subsequent transfer bans. And take their titles off them too (though don't want them given to us - they're tainted).

just above you were going on about Everton going into administration if nothing happened and it is possible the only reason they haven't is due to the loans from 777 if reports of the loans of correct do why they may not be particularly good owners they are probably better than the alternative
My Uncle Mick was a blue and took me to Goodison and in later years was a really handy route for tickets to big matches as he ended up working in their commercial department before leaving to head up Blackpools who appropriately have just equalised against Forest
As I've mentioned before, my dad and uncle were Blues. It was different then, though - both red and blue mixed on the terraces, the rivalry was friendly and there was mutual respect.
