This is very harsh. He's barely missed a game all season until being clattered by an oafish goalkeeper. What can he do about that?
I can just see Chazz’s face when the young lad doesn’t get it. edit I just showed it to Mrs Lbia, **** sake I had to sing the song and explain what a transfer window is… **** it, I’m off to walk the dog. I clearly marred beneath my station.
Short of taking a machine gun the next time we play them, sweet **** all. I agree though,it was verging on attempted murder...One of the most brutal 'tackles' I've seen in many a year.Connolly was lucky not to be seriously injured.
He'd already asked to come off once before that clash and let's not pretend he doesn't go down for treatment at some point in almost every game he plays. Also I'm sorry but anyone who says they can't come on because their toes swollen is soft, let's not mention the full skins attire he wears every game..... Good player but he's just soft
This is worse than last season. The first XI that we put out can't be reserves and nobodies or we'll just end up down with the also-rans again. We've got to strengthen well here, with one eye on those coming back. We can manage with Jacob and AN Other at LB, but we can't manage without Philogene, Delap, Seri and Connolly. I'm trusting the management to sort this out, but I can't help but feel a little bit nervous that they don't seem massively ****ing worried by this absentee list.
He goes down every game and stays down until the medical team arrives. Either he’s made of weetabix or he’s just a massive fanny. The collision with the keeper was bad but not every time he goes down injured is as serious as that. Like Howden said, he goes down nearly every match without fail clutching some limb and rolling around in agony. Also, the man wears full thermals, even the Long Johns, along with gloves. He’s a fanny. Compare him with Coyle who plays through broken ribs, eye socket and nose and wears a short sleeve shirt without a thermal undershirt in winter.
Fair enough. I thought the point was about his injury record, which is nowhere near as bad as people make out. I don't care about him wearing thermals but also don't care enough to argue about it.
I'd rather him playing tomorrow night than resting up...We've got **** all to replace him with. I agree that at times he goes down a bit more than we want to see but let's not skirt around the issue of Gunns challenge.I think it was dangerous, reckless and could've ended up far worse.... Your thoughts?
Re Steven Toasts post... From the outside looking in... I just wonder, if the management team have reflected and said we might not have enough for the Top 6 this season. Instead of panic buying due to the 'crisis', committing to contracts which would affect FFP and bloat the squad with people who might become bit players, maybe they've they said we'll do the minimum needed and then go for broke in the summer, have a clear out invest in youth in the meantime. When it happens it will happen..
Honesty.... ( And I know it won't go down well here ) I've seen it from multiple cameras and at all different speeds, it's a very very very tough challenge, but Gunn does get to the ball before the both clash, he is that committed that he can't change anything after heading the ball. My personal opinion is that it 10000% wasn't a foul on the keeper by Connolly, but I'm also not convinced it was a foul on him either. I think we are just that used to football being softened down these days it's looks much worse then it actually is. Puts tin hat on and waits for the onslaught.....
Honesty is always welcome from me.I might not agree but as I've said often on here,we're all entitled to our opinions Outside Ebenezer Morleys at 12.30 if I'm down for the Millwall game..Bring the pistols.
