For his comments about the ref after the 1-0 defeat to QPR. I wouldn't usually merit this with a thread but I thinks it's such a poor show by the FA, Chris Foy was incompetent and biased in that game and criticism was the very least he deserved, should have been fired IMO as that was one of the most shocking referee performances I've ever seen.

The FA start all this bullshit about respecting the refs, but they have to earn and deserve respect, not just demand it. The standard of refereeing is awful in this country and is only going to get worse if they are uncritisisable or unpunishable, at the end of the day alot of money is at stake in football and it depends on these guys getting things right. If nothings going to stop them getting things wrong, what's going to motivate them to get things right? Players are even getting booked nowadays for merely questioning their decisions. And whenever anyone dares speak out about them, they get FINED for it, it's embarrassing how nobley they're treated when they perform like power happy, useless ****s that think they're more important and above anyone else.

I think refs should be made to take an interview or at least submit their notes from the game explaining their decisions and why they made them to be publicised for all to see. Until the onus is on them to be competent and fair at their job, I can't see the piss poor standard of officiating in this country improving. Somethings NEEDS to be done!!

Just to add a little extra, after Mike Rileys diabolical display of 'it's all about me' refereeing in our 4-1 defeat at home to Sunderland, I remember racking my brain at how officials could be so **** and biased and get away with it, and came to the only conclusion I could think of (a bit of a conspiracy theory) that refs are actually huge rugby fans who hate football intent solely on the purpose of destroying our beautiful game in hope that everyone will switch to gay egg chasing and build the shambles of a sport into a big thing. I wonder how far from the truth that actually is...

    Well said.
No one should be above the law, bit it seems that the referees are above the laws of football.

At the very least they should be available post match to explain some of their decisions.
The mic is thrust in front of a manager for a post match interview when all he can usually see is a red mist.
    This is unequal conditions.

    Good stuff,
At the risk of bringing the roof down on me by the traditionalists (god I hope not, I have a life to live) there would be a lot less arguing and name calling/anger etc, if the wooden brains in the FA used the sort of technology that almost every other sport in the world uses to get most decisions right.

Its a touchy subject technology being used in football but they need to move with the times, too many horror decisions, like the one that cost us in the last world cup v Germany

The Chelsea manager, but with one letter misspelt.

(*waits for DMD to delete my comment for no reason whatsoever*)

Agreed video technology is needed for those decisions but for now those mistakes are forgivable as that's a genuinely difficult call to make, there'd have been more outrage from the Germans if it wasn't a goal but it was given and we went on to win the game.

It's more the inconsistency I'm hinting at, dishing out silly cards and general one sided and ****e refereeing I'm hinting at. How somethings a foul out the box but inside the box where a penalty should be awarded it's not. How sometimes refs give a foul against one team but when the other team does the exact same thing they let it go. How sometimes they seem to single out certain players unfairly when other players are doing alot worse and getting away with it. All these types of things are where the officiating is being let down the most IMO and it needs fixing, sometimes they act as if it's their game and they're above anything else and ruin matches by being ****s.

I'm disappointed with you, Loiner. In fact, you're a disgrace not just to the people of Harrogate but to the Fauntleroy name.
