Surprisingly poor for brasses and dodgy massages so I’d book beforehand.

Yeah I've read Marrakesh is a bit touristy whereas Fes is largely untouched still and is a bit more authentic. Huge Medina too.

Might have to do both tbh. Only an hours flight.

I wouldn’t say it’s too touristy and certainly not out of season. A few rah types in baggy colourful trousers but not too many Americans or fat lager Brits.

It’s only the main square that’s a bit touristy, and like windy says it’s not Benidorm style tourists. It can get a bit hassly there coz every shop keep wants you to buy stuff and every food vendor wants you to eat at their place. But you just have to be polite and say no (otherwise you’ll be skint lol)

Not been to Fes, but yeah I reckon that would be great too and like you say, a bit more off the beaten track. Agadir worth a shout too, again huge medina there. Last time I was there my mate’s daughter and her friends came out with a lizard they’d bought <laugh>

You’ll love Morocco, don’t let the hassle to buy stuff put you off either, it’s just a hussle . Under the surface of that Moroccans are some of the most hospitable and friendly people you’ll meet.

Yeah that doesn't bother me in the slightest really. It's part of their culture and they're only trying to make a living. A firm no normally does the trick with aggressive sellers abroad in my experience.

Just got invited to a stag in Athens. Doesn’t sound very staggy. Anyone been?

Back in the 80s ... smog ... good bars (and clubs)... obviously great historical sites - we arrived on a Sunday evening - just an overnight stop over on the way to Rhodes - Panathenaikos had played AEK (or Olympiakos) in the afternoon and it was still kicking off hours after the game ... apparently most of the Athens derbies are played on a Sunday ... so need to keep your wits about you ... enjoy.

The meat market is a must.

Especially if you are after Donkey's ears.

I love eating different stuff like that. Last month I had rabbit legs with a salad. Cows head, rice and chips. Goat curry on the bone.

Don’t think it would pass the fit for consumption test in this country. It’s hard to swallow, you just chew and chew but it doesn’t seem to go anywhere.

Me gran always said never buy a rabbit from a butchers unless you have seen it with the skin on. Apparently once skinned and beheaded they look identical to a cat in the same condition and taste similar.

So has your gran actually tasted a cat? <laugh>

Thinking about it, I can see the similarities about the look, mind. I’ve skinned more rabbits than I care to remember. Me and my stepdad used to make rabbit soup all the time from fresh kills back in the day.

Yeah. I’ve tried it now but I’d not go back. I seen they had a tray of cows feet on the buffet on one of the last days I was there but I swerved that.

I am looking across at my cat right now and the way it sits, I can see how it could look similar.

Although I refuse to imagine it without any skin. That's going too far.

Interesting. Never heard of anyone doing that over here. Like I’ve just said, I seen the cow feet on the buffet but I’d had enough with the head so just passed it by.
