Cavani, Hamsik, Lavezzi. ^Would all improve our side, in that order IMO. I think Cavani could play second fiddle to Van Persie. He CAN play on the Wing as well. This could also allow Van Persie to drop further back, and would help convince him to sign a new deal. Hamsik would be a true Fabregas replacement, he's almost as good. Lavezzi is a very good winger and while we have millions of those, don't forget Arshavin is leaving soon... Thoughts? I know we won't get all 3 but surely 1 is a possibility?
Hamsik is nowhere near Cesc's level. Cavani, is going to be very expensive and with City getting a first hand view of his talent its likely they will get him maybe to replace Tevez. Out of those three, Levezzi is the most interesting player for us. Would not be THAT expensive and could play on the wings or behind Van Persie. Was really impressed with him tonight. And like you said could replace Arshavin or even Rosicky.
Any one of the three would do, especially Lavezzi. Fast, tricky winger who can also play inside if needed. Like Eden Hazard, but older and cheaper.
Edinson Cavani said last week in Il Corriere dello Sport that he would like Balotelli to play at the Stadio San Paolo, so I don't think he'll be going anywhere for a while. He is also adored by the Partenopei. Last month, the President of Napoli, Aurelio de Laurentiss, said that he wants to keep Marek Hamsik and not get Balotelli because of his discipline problems. he also slated Mino Raiola who's both Balotelli's and Hamsik's agent. de Laurentiis said...'When Mino buys Napoli then he can do what he wants. Lavezzi will stay at Napoli till the end of the Season at least, some say AC Milan and Man City are interested but his agent rubbished this the week before last in the same paper, Il Corriere and he is contracted to Napoli until June 2015 so I can't see him going anywhere either. So, in answer to your question, I don't envisage you seeing any of them.
So they beat city and suddenly we need half their players?! the brazillian lucas 19/20 from sao paulo or goatze, and sell chamakh an maybe get another striker depending on bendtner and campbell
I take it you don't follow european football. These three have been in demand for some time, not just tonight because they beat Man ****ty.
Hamsik is a quality player. He's a slightly different style to Cesc but would strengthen almost any team out there. I saw both him and Lavezzi in Naples (which was fookin' AWESOME - if scary!) and they're a cut above. Out of the three I'd be tempted to go Cavani > Lavezzi > Hamsik. That's no bearing on their ability, more in the order I feel we need them. On a positive note I made a cool £14 last night betting against Citeh. Napoli were 3.5/1 to win at home.... insulting. Yes, I gamble with the big boys! If I keep this up I'll buy one of the trio for the club. You're welcome.
Possible to get one but not all three, also i wouldn't be surprised if man city offer around £80m for all three and no doubt chelsea and real will be in and around there. I would welcome all three, i agree with the fact that hamsik is no-where near as c=good as cesc but he reminds me of nasri in many ways and clearly lavezzi can play all the way across the front three as well as dropping in the hole behind the striker. Cavani is a great striker but i think that he would be the least likely of the three to join us because i think that he is the most sought after. But one thing that can almost be guaranteed is that that trio will be broken up in the summer.
Did anyone notice Balotelli throwing his toys out of the pram last night. Ooooooo he was livid that they wouldnt let him score. bwahahahahahahahahah.
Wenger might have changed his policy in only buying younger players but I can't see him shelling out on £30+mill players.
If the player is special, and the wages of the player is not Man City levels, then yes I could see him spending that amount on a player. Especially guys like Goetze or Hazard. Also those two will have resale value. Look at the money he spent on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. A great talent, but he was still a 17 year old who was playing in league 1.
Regardless of the player Wenger doesn't seem to like spending over £20mill for a player and most of his signings are either very cheap, or done for around £10-12mill range. There's no form for him spending big and if he was ever going to do it, it should have been this summer after losing 3 first 11 players. Resale value doesn't come into it when you look at Wenger's form for dropping out of signing talented youngsters when they go out of his self imposed price limits.
This last 6 years he has imposed a limit on his spending due to his belief in the youth system and the stadium debt. But now that period is coming to an end he could exceed his price limit over the next few years. I have no doubt that should we be in for Goetze or Hazard, that Arsene will spend over £20 Mil to get these players.
Cash city has already shown interet in these players in the past and even if wenger will be willing to pay over the odds to sign these players, we all know what will happen..
we'll make sure he swallows a couple of pounds of semtex first. then when hes in your diamond encrusted dressing room with the rest of your team .... BOOOMSHANKA !!!!
