No I want to be angry nothing else is happening! We can only go off whatever’s doing the rounds and whilst Nixon talks out of his arse at times he does get other stuff right. 2 weeks into the window and we heard KS on numerous occasions say they’d love Diallo back yet where’s the urgency? He was confirmed as not going to AFCON at the start of the window. The only saving grace I’m taking from this is that we paid his wage last season so why wouldn’t we this.
I’d love to see who we’ve got lined up if we’re too good for both Carvalho and Diallo mind! Bobby Firminho would be nice
Well aye indeed. I'd go as far as saying that if us and Boro both had bids accepted, he may choose them anyway. This idea that he only wants to play for Sunderland has been created by us Sunderland fans and a few throwaway instagram emojis
Same old accusations of not offering good or competitive wages are creeping out again so answer me this, why did Neil, Cirkin, Hume, Roberts, Patterson, Ballard all sign new contracts since we've been promoted? All of them would have a queue of clubs after them yet they chose to commit their future to here, so surely the wages must be competitive. But I guess that doesn't fit the current narrative does it.
I’m not sure of where this idea that people think he should only come back here originate from I’ve not seen them but just thinking logically why would he rather go to a team around us than come back to the club he’s already got a relationship with just a few months ago? He knows the players here and made plenty of references to his time here after he left. He’ll fit straight back in. If it was to go and play every week for Southampton and win the league fair enough but it’s not.
What were they on before though? Hume was on about £500 a week. They’re all players, bar Roberts, who had years left on their contracts so why wouldn’t they accept a payrise they can’t leave anyway.
Arguably the best F9 in the world for a period at Liverpool about 5 years ago. Obviously there’s absolutely no chance of us signing him but playing him up top would be exactly the kind of player we need. Intelligence, dropping deep to link up the play.
But he’s not injured. What if my auntie has bollocks? We can’t predict the future unfortunately and decide to cut our noses off to spite our face because a player had one injury.
How do you know what he was on or any of the wages we offer? If you are going to cite ****ing capology let me tell you that the club I work for is on there and they are so wrong it's laughable.
Personally I’d drop one of the one of the midfielders for either of them at the drop of an hat and have a proper 10 on the pitch. That’s one problem solved. Signing a striker isn’t going to magically make us a better team we still have a midfield that’s very samey with no specialised 10 or 6.
