sure, I don't think there's a thing wrong with fans getting good facilities and such form an owner who is willing to do so but yeah unless football becomes an academy driven sport somehow sell to buy is never going to sustain a club for more and a couple of seasons if they are lucky. The days of clubs being largely stable in terms of playing staff for years and years are long past.
not shocked about that one. he had a right pop at the club only a week or two ago? classic mourinho wants out move.
He leaves every team he goes to in worse shape than he found them.. I wouldn't mind seeing another rival hampered for a decade by the Mourinho effect. I hope he goes to Man City.
Don't think I could stand him being here again - face like a slapped arse, whining about everyone and everything being to blame for his failures.
My list of most disliked football personalities: 1) Fake Ronaldo - rapist, all round nasty person, along with Drogba pioneered diving as a genuine tactic in England and led to it being so widespread, ruining the game. 2) Mourinho - horrible, horrible man. 3) Diouf - Diouf! No one likes Diouf! 4) Tony Pulis - negative, negative man, most boring football. 5) Joey Barton - absolute thug. If those five could fall into a hole and be erased from history, I'd be happy.
Are you... are you.... are you being optimistic and looking on the bright side? Yes, you're absolutely right though, there's really not that many super nasty people in football considering... and all five of those are now confined to the annals of history rather than the present. Sure, and I should point out... there are the ones who have committed crimes and gone to jail for it. Tony Pulis is no Adam Johnson, so it's probably might seem unfair to have him on that list instead of Pulis. Yes, he's probably a worse human being... but he got caught for it... the ones on my list are people I personally dislike rather than the worst people ever.
no i'm just suggesting you lot could be so i can tear you down again. very uncharacteristic for saint to be saint he couldn't take something.
Not gonna lie. Mourinho has said too many venomous things about Liverpool over the years for me to not enjoy his misfortune. Tbf though he's not a bad pundit. In fact he was a great pundit at Man utd. Very good at telling everyone what was wrong - not so good at doing anything about it though.
the microphone of odengaard incident was revealed as Webb did his usual ego trip. you can hear the ref scream his arm was on the ground. no no his arm is on the ground. so it's very clear to me the refs seen things that were not actually there and was badly wrong. the var guy then take over and starts his so called analysis with all I can describe as an effort to back the ref not lokmat what everyone can see. odengaards hand is not on the ground. he hand isn't going just towards his body. he dismissed the very clear footage in front of him and waffles for an excuse to back his mate. Webb answers Owen and says yes it a pen then goes full protect the ref by say what the ref said was correct when in fact it was wrong. he then backs is var man by explaining he was dead right. then bizarrely explains odengaard got a massive advantage so its a pen. no mention of how his incompetent mates failed to apply the rules in their rush to keep the on field call. classic Webb. another "apology" it is I suppose
Really odd one. I can understand on field ref not giving it looking at his angle and fact he thinks arm is on the floor which in real time maybe looks that way. But given refs rational is arm is on the floor, not once does var say, well his arm isn’t on the floor. That’s where var doesn’t work as ref makes a decision then goes to var to make a decision. Instead what should happen is he ref says I haven’t given it as arm js on the floor, var checks and goes well his arm isn’t in the floor, his arm is up at all times and brings his arm in towards the ball - ref if his arm isn’t on the floor would that change your mind? Why not once do var check the rational of why it’s not given. this is where rugby has it sorted. I’ve not given a pen cos arm is on the floor - is there any reason that decision is wrong? var can then say yes, his arm isn’t on the floor so maybe it’s worth having another look at this. Really glossed over it at the end and how not one var questioned that reasoning which is a worry
