As per Scouts advice, keep the chat in here. I’m still keeping mine, my son will be renewing and whilst my mate of over 40 years has uttered he may not, I’m sure he will. Slag him off at your peril It took me long enough to afford a season ticket as I had to buy 2, I won’t be giving it up too easily. People saying that the only way KLD (or owners in general) will listen is by denying them funds are actually a bit silly. It’s highly unlikely that this would happen and it’s more detrimental to the club than it would be to him personally That said, people will have other valid reasons for not renewing, but that could also be outside of the football they are watching
I will be renewing along with my son, grandson and son in law. Call it blind faith I just support my club. Of course at times things could be better on and off the pitch but hey there are a lot of clubs out there with worse problems than ours. Apart from anything else what else would I do on a matchday.
People have every right to cancel a season ticket at any time for any reason. I personally have had two different season tickets in my lifetime and currently don't have one but go as much as work/life allows me, mostly midweek games. I think where I have an issue is when so called supporters announce they are cancelling their ticket because of footballing reasons, such as coach appointment or transfers, like they are some sort of martyr. If you don't want to go/cant go, don't go. Nobody should judge you. Just don't announce it.
Absolutely I am fortunate to be able to afford it and to be honest even with everything that's going on at the minute I have a very log memory and The club is on the up Love watching these young kids play.
Although I hate all the changed times for televised games ( good for the clubs revenue though) yes I will be renewing.
The bit I don't quite understand is that although I'm sure KLD appreciates the efforts the fans put in, even if attendances went down by 10,000 per home game I don't think revenue wise that would make that much difference, not that I want that to happen I'm just pointing that I don't think it will affect the day to day running of the club. In exactly the same way the fact we get 40,000 every home game doesn't make us so much more of a wealthier club than say Ipswich who get about 25,000. I'm sure it helps the clubs if there's more money coming through the door, but it's the TV money and sponsorship that are the real driving force behind the money the club brings in. We must be doing something right as I'm sure we must be heading the list for being on sky recently. Don't get me wrong I want the stadium packed for every home game, I think in the 2 1/2 years since KLD has taken over he's progressed us enough to deserve that. He has employed Speakman that as far as I can see is doing OK, he in turn has employed a coach no one really wanted but who is still keeping us around the play offs after a month at the club. If some people want to not renew their season tickets for those reasons then that's their decision, but if that's the case I'm not sure why they were still renewing 4 years ago
We have some family tickets. A few of us all pay a bit towards 3. We mix and match and I attend fewest being an exile, but get a fair few away tickets as a result and the lads always give me first dibs on aways if I can go. No talk at all of giving them up. As an exile it feels vital to be able to put a bit into the club at every opportunity so I do. Whatever happens off or on the pitch, I love being amongst our fans. When I go home it is always canny being with folk I dont see often enough. We cheer and sing, sigh and point, questions the refs parentage. We often disagree as well, but we are all wanting the same thing and try to play our part, little as it is.
Two daughters and me will renew all Being well. It's lovely to go to the match with them to be honest
Dad may well not renew this coming season if physical cards are not available. He wants his own card as he doesn't want to rely on me scanning him through the turnstile. Saying that he is getting on now and as much as he loves coming to the match it is getting a bit much for him when it's busy
Hope you are well mate. And as usual , you son........ Ha Multiple season tickets here. Some multiple decades. I will carry mine and my son's on.. Those who want to crack jokes about leaving early or mackems should hate mags more , welcome here.
Yeah, we'll all be renewing regardless of what happens between now and end of the season. 7 of us sit together and it's the only time I see a couple of the lads now we all have kids.
No, not this time around although the last three or four seasons it's been leading to it.... The eviction form our seats and the random kick off times and a visit to the ticket office before Christmas have seen our family off. Will Still follow the lads but from the outside.
I’m like you, taken a long time to afford it so I’m in it for a long stretch now, me and the missus make a day of the match as as well so the footy is just a (big) part of it.
Hopefully we will be renewing, the old man is struggling a bit with the night games in the winter and has mentioned calling it a day but I'll just set the bairn on him to get him to renew
I’ve watched Sunderland at the bottom of the prem, at the bottom of the Championship and throughout League 1. I’m not giving in now. Let the good times roll!!
