Don't want him and £10 mill is quite laughable. -Doesn't possess the ability to score easy goals/tap ins -Scores only in cycles, goes to long without scoring. Something we can't afford. -Too greedy (as mentioned earlier). Not necessarily a bad thing for a striker but can't see it fit in with our team ethics. Focus need to be on quality defenders, (Onouha, Bassong and a full back). Feel we have goals in the team allready, both in midfield and attack. My opinion is we can gamble on an unproven striker IF we get the prefered defensive reinforcements.
£10m's a lot for a bit of a has been. It's not as though you'd get much of that back if it wasn't working out after a couple of years. 'Course Defoe could explode onto the LR scene with a bag full of early goals, and then what? Would he be likely to keep it going over more than a coupla three months?
Well said Norway my sentiments exactly but I got shot down earlier for suggesting a cheaper alternative for being mad!!
And the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before around eight o'clock
Hard to see Defoe leaving Spurs now after his performance Saturday and PavXXXX getting a bad knee injury.
I don't think they'll sell Defoe. But I can't believe some people are saying they don't want him...Blimey!! Name another that would be better, for the same/similar money and who would be likely to come to us?
Its true Colly. There was about half a dozen on the original thread saying they didn't want him! Quite extraordinary.
Yeh extraordinary. Can't think of many better strikers we could get hold of, in the PL anyway. Think he'd be a perfect fit for us.
