I think Ballyquin Bay (ex Gordon Elliott with some form in the book, not a backward number) currently 9/1 has a solid look about it tomorrow 12.50 Kelso. Fine effort at Kelso in Nov although at limit of stamina/trip I felt on felt ground. Even better effort at Newc in Dec stepping back in trip (winner franked form at Catterick next time) Should be ridden prominently and the 6yo should be bang there at the business end.

The (15:20) at Kelso, a Class-3 Handicap Chase over an extended 2m7f on soft ground, gives the Dubai Destination gelding, Dubai Days, a squeak at decent odds. Conditonal, Bruce Lynn (3), rides for the Nick Alexander stable. 7/1 (Wm.Hill/Unibet) best price at time of writing. E/W best option.
Looking at 2.35 Punchestown- I like Ardera Ru. Currently 11/1 on bet365. Has shown potential last season and with SOC back on board I’ll have me an ew bet to keep the interest. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I’m gearing up for the Utd/Spurs game here. A spurs win would make my Sunday COYS
Looks very nice indeed. I wasn't sold prior to today but he looked very fast there. Didn't settle, jumped only adequately and won in a canter. That is one special horse I feel, reminded me a little of Constitution Hill near the end, the action.
I think the form has a pretty solid look to it and given he's beating them at his leisure, you can mark it down as a smart performance.
Judging by the time (on soft ground) the rest were "donkeys". Only 3 other runnings of the race were slower and they were on heavy ground. 5 runnings on heavy ground were faster, some considerably. Still, he won easily so who knows how good he is, or will be. No point in winning by 30l when he can stroll home as he liked. Just what you want really at this stage, easy races for fun. Looking forward to watching his education, hopefully leading to the top drawer. What did he look like in the flesh Princess; looks a bit light to me but won't be 5 until 2nd Feb so plenty of maturing to come
Definitely had plenty of growing and filling out to do but he was a nice looking horse and very chilled out.
